We’ll definitely do not want to draw your attention to it negatively- but a smooth shift is easier with a dead pedal. The act of lifting a foot rather than just moving it makes a difference if that’s what you are used to doing.
On very sporty cars like BMW or Porsche- it’s a must. You basically keep your heal under the clutch on the floor and have your foot resting on that dead pedal. It’s effortless and muscle memory.
