  1. Black JLU Sport with Rubi parts

It only took me about 45 minutes with the jeep on a lift. Will cost you somewhere around $200-$300 bucks in parts.
  2. Black JLU Sport with Rubi parts

Shocks, Springs, and endlinks. Control arms were the same part number.
  3. Black JLU Sport with Rubi parts

Not complicated at all but I've lifted a lot of jeeps. Was a master tech for CDJR and I sell for them now. you should be able to find Rubi takeoff suspension for $200-$300.

No you don’t. Make sure you pay attention when installing Rubi springs as each spring has a different part number.
  5. Black JLU Sport with Rubi parts

A little update to the thread. Went on with the Rubi suspension 2 weeks ago and have no complaints. Could benefit a lot by adding aftermarket front sway bar disconnects! Gained right at 2 inches front and rear after springs settled. Biggest difference I’ve noticed is how much better the shocks...
  6. Automatic Transmission - Manual Mode?

With the 8 speed behind it, it is very accurate! Normal trails and what not I would let it do it’s thing in Drive. If there’s something you think you need to eyeball before attempting it would probably be the time for it. Think about it like the Jeep was a 6 speed manual. Anything you wouldn’t...
  7. Automatic Transmission - Manual Mode?

I was a mastertech for FCA before I started selling for them.... seems like the trans is trying to shift much more often than normal (lower ratio) causing the fans to have to run wide open to keep it from hurting itself in culmination with higher RPM’s at lower speeds than normal. I can’t...
  8. Automatic Transmission - Manual Mode?

Mine did the same thing on several occasions today when in 4Lo and drive. It would normally start or stay in second even when slow rolling an obstacle and once you started approach it was like it was a combination of thinking it needed to switch to third but cutting power. Manual mode there were...
  9. Black JLU Sport with Rubi parts

A little update to the thread. So took the Jeep down to the river today to have a little fun and it did well. Nothing crazy by any means but I have to say I definitely miss having lockers! This JL also doesn’t have the anti-spin rear end which made some things a little more difficult as well...
  10. Black JLU Sport with Rubi parts

Yes the dealer now has the ability to do it.
  11. Black JLU Sport with Rubi parts

I'd say I like the ride a little better than stock honestly. The tire has a little more sidewall and a little bigger footprint but it doesn't grab the road or pull you on uneven surfaces at all. Speedo is between 1-3 MPH off depending on speed because I haven't re-calibrated yet but cruising...

  15. Black JLU Sport with Rubi parts

Hahaha it does look odd for sure but yes it can be removed. Jeep claimed that it helped with MPG and I wanted to get the most accurate number I could before I removed them. They will come off tomorrow to see if there is a noticeable difference and they will stay off!
  16. Black JLU Sport with Rubi parts

Yes they were will fit without a problem.
