The only way to effectively test the ANC is to do a side X side test with 2 JLs (one with and one without obviously) with a decibel meter and in similar various conditions.
GREAT FIND !!! :fist bump:
Now we need to know more !
Is the Glass different than non Alpine equipped JLs ?
Real life comparison / Db measurements etc...etc...
I agree about it definitely being overlooked. We're all focusing / nitpicking / obsessing about the more "tangible" features. Yet, I see the addition of ANC in the Wrangler as being a potentially "BIG" thing (if done right).
My 2012 JK is my daily driver, hence we cover a lot of paved road...
Problem solved! .... Thank you :)
I guess what would be left to do is program the new tire size into the ECU for accurate speed reading and ABS/ESP operation. I wonder if this operation can now be done directly on the JL or will we need an external device like AEV's Procal, Diablosport...
Is the JL in the studio equipped with the ANC feature (active noise cancellation) ?
How did it perform during the drive to Colorado? Any noticeable improvement on ride noise vs JK ?
More hands-on info on ANC please ! :like:
(I'm a sound solutions and audio tech developer)
THANK YOU ! :handsinair:
I have fully read the post / article on ANC (loved it)... It would have been nice and informative if Jeep made a demonstration of its effectiveness by measuring db levels with ANC on and off ... kinda like how we do it on noise cancelling headphones.
What is surprising is that no...
Why is it that NO one has talked about the "Active Noise Cancellation" (ANC) feature listed in the JL Wrangler Order Guide ? .... I mean it's a major feature to improve on-road comfort. :whatsgoingon::whatsgoingon:
