Sometimes being nice and patient does not work. You may need to ramp up the heat. There are many being delivered to stores not tied to a customer. I would be a mean bastard and press for them to locate a similar equipped model, redirect it to your local dealership, and sell it to you for...
FCA has made it through the rough patch and is starting to get it's design language right, has a great new set of suppliers, and is making good decisions across many of their brands. The market is really competitive but FCA has found a way to remain competitive.
The attention to details and...
Many minds think alike and post at the same time. ;) I think the presenter is wrong. At launch I think this roof topic was covered. I would pay more (don't tell jeep) for a 5-piece Freedom Top if it were offered.
The presenter states @1:50 that all three tops allow your to remove the rear-quarter window. Not sure that is correct. The Freedom Top was /is a 3-piece configuration. Has that changed to a 5-piece Freedom Top?
I think with any soft-top vehicle (especially a potentially engine bay accessory-heavy vehicle) like the Wrangler [BEING TOTALLY REDESIGNED FROM THE GROUND UP OPERATING IN 2018] it was a missed opportunity to not provide a means of keeping the engine bay secure.
For an earlier commentor...
Will FCA allow for a special order of a body color match Freedom Top for a 2018 JLU Wrangler Sport S? Not sure how that would be a problem if the customer is willing to pay the upcharge for it.
I wanted to ask here 1st before I start sending order bids to my local Jeep dealers.
The Sahara was the only one that had a 3,500 tow rating. All the others were listed as 2,000. I will go with an auto ONLY if it is mandatory for towing or for Selec-Trac. The configurator did not force a change to automatic transmission. My 1st pass through the configurator was $52K before...
Not too shabby. I wasn't expecting a fail but was expecting some departure angle challenges along with some tire grip issues. I think it did pretty well for stock. Trying hard not to fall in love with a fully loaded Sahara and make do with a Sport+.
Anyone have a guess what that one will be...
My 1st car (over 20 years ago was a manual), my current daily driver, and of course my motorcycle is manual. However, for applications where towing or heavy duty situations exist, I believe the auto is the better choice in terms of durability. A manual transmission in the hands of a novice =...
I too would like the diesel and planned on waiting for it BUT have changed my mind and will probably go with the V6 and aftermarket supercharger. Had several diesels from VW and when a DPF goes it can be an expensive repair.
My JL will be used as an overland vehicle for use on the West coast...
I think some perspective is called for. By any modern definition this is one of the most comprehensive and detailed redesigns of an automotive product I have witnessed (very little carryover). Think back to the overly cautious redesigned Tacoma and this is better by a factor of 3. I would...
