It will be rotating at road speed and the front driveshaft will be spinning (negating the benefits of the FAD), but it won't click since the PS axle shaft is free spinning.
The Renegade Trailhawk doesn’t have a 2wd mode, it’s fulltime 4wd. Additionally, the “4low” just uses 1st gear in the transmission. Don’t believe me? Put it in low and accelerate from a stop to 50mph. Now try that in a vehicle that has a real lo range, you can won’t be able to go over 20 or so...
We’ve replaced torn off track bar brackets on every set of Spicer 60s we’ve sold. The bracketry is not nearly as strong as other brands.
I didn’t like that at first you could only get 2 gear ratios and only e lockers. I’m not an e locker fan, but now there’s an option for an ARB air locker...
No word on pricing yet. I’d expect them to be just a touch more than JK axles. The Spicers are about $300 more for the JL than they were for the JK.
Yes, they’re going to offer complete Bolt in axles.
If you compare apples to apples it’s about $700 to upgrade to a PR80 rear.
That $12,990 package is a fixed configuration, no options available. If you however build a custom spec, it’s about a $700 between a 60 & 80 rear.
I’m a Dynatrac dealer, have speced/sold/installed dozens of them. I...

Not to be judgemental, but if $700 is going to blow the budget, you probably shouldn't be spending $18k on axles.
A little birdie at Corporate told me that no customer JLs have shipped and that JL that Ace has isn't theirs, and a Jeep employee is in a bit of trouble.
I’ll be buying a diesel Rubicon as soon as I can order one. If it’s available in a 2dr, that’s be my preference.
I’m ready to put my money where my mouth is and put a deposit down towards a 2dr diesel Rubi as soon as someone’s willing to take it.
I agree, also the JK windshield was curved, so it created an awkward bowl shape when folded.
I, like many Jeep owners I think, folded the windshield down once or twice as a novelty, then realized there’s not really any benefit, just a bunch of wind and minimal visibility increase. There’s will...
I hear so many people that talk about the folding windshield being so important, but hardly ever see anyone actually fold their windshield down.
I’ve travelled all over the country, been to major events with thousands of Jeeps, and can probably count on one hand how many JKs I’ve seen with the...
I was looking in Star Parts, which is the dealer parts department catalog software, saw the '18 JL was in the system now and decided to clock through and see if there was anything interesting.
Besides some technical stuff I was curious about, I didn't see anything that we didn't already hear...
