  1. Is the Wrangler getting eTorque?

I looked briefly and didn't find anything. Was curious if there was any info or speculation about the 2019 Wrangler 3.6L getting the eTorque like the Ram 1500. That may make ESS and a manual 3.6L much more appealing if it smooths things out and gives a little extra acceleration off the line.
  2. Sahara 18 inch wheel weight

Title says it all. Does anyone know the weight of these rims? If I get a Wrangler, I'll put 18 inch lightweight wheels on them and lower profile street tires. I'm curious about potential weight savings.
  3. What will be the first special editions?

What do you think Jeep will have for sale first, and what options will they have? I'm hoping for a Chief edition 2-door with manual transmission diesel/plug in hybrid/V8 option. :) Realistically, I'd like to see something in between a Sport S and a Sahara in 2-door form with more standard...
  4. Finally got to see one in person - brief review

So I finally got to check out a Sahara with pretty much every option. First impressions were that it's bigger, more comfortable, more quality than JK. It actually feels artificially large like it was bulked up for style as much as anything. The infotainment and dash screens look just fine. I...
  5. Interior dimensions

Howdy, So I drove a Rubicon 2-door today and it was surprisingly small on the inside. I'm 6'0 260 lbs and really didn't quite fit. Are there any expectations that the JL will be roomier for the driver? My seat was all the way back too. Also, any chance the dash will be lowered some for better...
  6. Engine/Transmission Options

Howdy, So today I drove a Rubicon 3.6L 6-speed. I wasn't happy with the power. I'm hoping that the turbo-4 or even better 3.0L diesel will be available with the manual transmission. I know it's still speculation and that the odds are against me, but, are there any hopes of landing a turbo...
  7. Street wheels and tires

Howdy, Something totally unusual I know. Has anyone had much experience putting lightweight wheels and street sport tires on a Wrangler to make it more of a sports car? My thinking was that with a Sahara-like spec with Trac-Lok differential it could drive and handle pretty well on the street...
