I empathize......but....I think the writing is on the wall that shortly....manual transmissions will no longer be offered. Kids don't grow up driving them and us old folks are dying off lol
I used cerakote on my JK fenders recently and the same thing happened. I got in touch with the company and I think they recommended a Magic Eraser coated with nail polish remover to get it off. Sadly it didn't work for me and I had to replace all four fenders.
Appreciate the research man but its exactly the jump in price or sticker shock that gets me. We went from 101,000 to 112,000 to...now you're telling me 117,000. I find that staggering.
I agree. The vast majority are using the 4WD for traction in the snow here. And getting back to OPs point at the start.....who can afford a decent Wrangler done up how you want it, just to damage it on the trail? A further expense to fix it? If the majority of us are disillusioned with the...
Are you disappointed in the fact that Electric is not available colder than 5 degrees fahrenheit? (-15 degrees celsius). Here in Ontario, we are going to have plenty of days colder than that...so I assume a 4Xe would not really use it's electric mode here.
I just went to the Jeep Build and Price site for Canada....Now I wasn't in the market for the 392 but Jesus H Christ that price is jaw-dropping. And it STARTS at that! STARTS!
The problem was I damaged the fenders scraping the Cerakote off, so I just put on new fenders. I'll stick with Mother's Back to Black in the future. It lasts a couple of months and that will be fine, I can live with that.
Yes I appreciate you sending that along. I did actually get the same response from Cerakote themselves.....and it did help somewhat....but they are still a god awful mess. I'm just going to replace the fenders now.
I just used this on the fenders of my Jeep Wrangler JK and it ended up lightening them and showing light streaks where it was applied. I'm not happy at all. Now I have to figure out how to get it off.
In a very similar approach to @Kansascoast there is a vid on Youtube that details how to McGyver a solution. I would link it here but Youtube is blocked from work. However just go to Youtube and type in "Warn ZEON Platinum - Dead Battery Solution". The poster is named CL Biro and his video shows...
"A new auto giant will make its New York trading debut Tuesday. Fiat Chrysler and PSA officially tied the knot on Saturday, creating Stellantis, the world’s fourth-biggest auto maker by production. The merger will give the new entity the scale needed to better compete in a rapidly changing...
Had a similar issue with the T15 torx screw that holds the headlight bezel in place in my JK. Contacted the dealership to get new screws, and was informed (politely and with empathy, to their credit) that the screws only came with the full headlight assembly. So I feel your pain. I ended up...
