Set of 5 KMC KM229 beadlock wheels (17x9 & 5x5 pattern) with Nitto Trail Grapplers (37x12.50R17). Purchased through Discount Tire in March of 2019 and all 5 tires have replacement certificates, which are transferrable. Tires and wheels have roughly 20-25,000mi and tires measure at 12/32 (new is...
Josh - Any chance you have any pictures of the Tread system without the tips or connector pipes from the mufflers? Looking for a high-clearance system that isn’t quite as loud as the Trail, so was eyeing the Tread. Maybe with turndown tips immediately following the mufflers.
Definitely strange. Now you make me want to go back out and measure again! I’ll have to dig out the EVO extensions and measure them for comparison.
What size are those Treps? I’ve heard they can be really challenging to balance. That said, I’ve seen them in the rocks and they hook up really well.
Just ran out and measured. They are 3” extensions.
I actually ended up with two sets of extensions, both 3” in length. The first was part of the EVO hardware and the second was a set included in the King bump box. The EVO extensions are made of a plastic composite material and the King...
They are 2” 2.0 bumps. I actually think i can thread them up a little further for a bit more up travel, but I haven’t had a chance to get it back on a lift to cycle everything.
After changing to the AGM sliders, the only noises I hear are when the slider makes contact with the timing rings or...
Yup, stock arms except the lower fronts. Those are EVO short arms so that I can dial in the caster (running about 6*).
On the last Jeep with the EVO long arms, I got probably close to 40,000mi before I rebuilt them and they had some hard miles on them in Moab, Runicon, and Fordcye. Even when I...
We have been super happy with the short arms, but to be fair, the Jeep has yet to get any time in the dirt. The short arms do require you to run limiting straps, which limit droop to about 11-12” vs the full 15”.
On my previous Jeep (‘14 JKUR), I ran the full EVO DTD setup with Lever in the...
If I were to guess, I think you are running about an inch more lift that I am.
Here is shot of the passenger side COs. Similar to you, I am running about a 1/2” more preload on the passenger side to level the Jeep.
Also for comparison, here is shot of the bump stop. At current height, I...
The only additional weight upfront is a Warn Zeon 10S and then in the back, the EVO carrier with with the 37” spare.
As for droop, no binding, but it is limit strapped since we are not yet running the long arm kit.
Do you have a picture of where your preload is set at? Based on the picture...
Looking at pictures of our springs before we sent them to powder coat, the front coilovers use a 14” 250lb spring and a 12” 200lb spring.
The 250lb spring should be on the bottom, with the 200lb on top. With the shorter 200lb spring on the top, it will “raise” the slider so that it is within...
Jeep is looking good!
Couple of quick observations based on my experience with the EVO coilover kit on our 2019 JLUR.
For the front bump stops, you are missing the 3-4” aluminum bump that should be installed on the factory bump stop pad. The King bumps should have come with the extension. On...
Was your front axle locked? What tire pressure? What you are describing sounds normal if you were either locked or running low tire pressure offroad (or both!).
Are you able to share the parts used to make the ATS work? Is it just the stabilizer, clamp, and mounting bracket (Steer Smarts?)?
I had the ATS initially on my JK before PSC and I loved it. Would like to do the same on the JL, but couldn't imagine mounting it in the OEM location below the tie...
