I’ve used DEF from the truck stop if I’m on a highway and think about it, but mostly I use the brand sold at Walmart. I have had no issues either way. I know that some diesels have been finicky. Luckily mine has not.

The engine actually takes 8 quarts of oil, and the synthetic mobil 1 I bought for $105 for a case of 12 comes out to $69.30 for 8 quarts. The fuel filters were a 4 pack for $62, or $15.50 per. That's $85. I also don't count the time I am doing other things waiting for the oil to drain...

The fuel filters are really easy for most people. Takes like 10 minutes. There is a drain plug to empty the fuel, so you don't actually have to get covered if you do it properly. Search youtube.

No experience with the 3.6, but I do have a 2014 GC diesel and I have no idea how you only got 22mpg stock unless you drive like a mad man. I would also either find a different dealer for your oil changes, or do it yourself. $300 is crazy and I can do it myself in 10 min for like $85 in filter...

There are rumors of a new defender with a soft top being announced this spring for LR 70th anniversary. It's a different demographic of buyers for the most part I would think, but if it is really slick I may consider it since I'm already waiting to drive a 2.0 before ordering a JL.

The interior of the tailgate on the rubi I saw today without that option had "trail rail ready" or something to that effect stenciled on a piece on the inside of the tailgate itself.

Victory has one in KC. Nice JLUR. Not digging the tan interior, which is unfortunate because the dash color is nice. Seats are quite comfy for a few minutes sitting inside. Couldn't test drive today as they had training.

Looks like there is a backup cam button now in the Uconnect menu. It would be nice to activate it any time you want, and I assume that is the purpose.

Looks like the license plate/bumper configuration is different in the manual. Pg 23 user manual
