  1. Part number for wheel cap?

Lost a wheel cap on my 2018 2dr Rubicon. I ordered and received 1LB77LSTAC, but it's shiny black and not matte black like the others. Anyone have the right part number?
  2. Dog “hammock” for back seat?

So this happened: https://www.jlwranglerforums.com/forum/threads/sh-tty-day-glad-the-subwoofer-and-carpets-are-removable.126365/post-2643737 I really like the hammock suggested there, but I measured and it seems like itā€™d be too big. Anyone using something similar in their two door...
  3. Low battery causing “check axle locker system?”

For a couple of years, now, I intermittently (and rarely) get a ā€œcheck axle locker systemā€ idiot light. It displays, chimes and then immediately disappears. For some time I thought it fixed itself because I went many months without a recurrence. Recently, I think Iā€™ve noticed a correlation...
  4. Sh*tty day - glad the subwoofer and carpets are removable!

On the way to the vet our dog pooped in the back of my two door. The back seat was folded forward and we couldnā€™t see what was going on (and were on the highway). The smell was not really strong and I assumed he stepped on the bagged ā€œsampleā€ that we had back there with him. Well, the first...
  5. Connecticut Sold: Tazer - priced to sell

Original two piece Tazer with OBDII extension included. This served me well for 5 years and works perfectly. The SGW bypass alone is useful for using BlueTooth scanners like the MX+ for JScan. The grey tape on the bypass is foam to ensure no vibrations/rattles. I just zip tied it to the frame...

  7. Found a loose bolt after clutch swap

Well, this makes me nervous. I recently had an ACT clutch installed, and itā€™s been great. That said, my clutch pedal started making a click noise at the very start of travel, but only after Iā€™ve been driving around for a long while (like after thirty minutes of around town with lots of...
  8. [SOLVED] Clutch pedal clicks

Just started this morning. Iā€™ve logged about 1,000 miles on my new ACT clutch and itā€™s been phenomenal. I donā€™t think this has anything to do with the new clutch. Itā€™s absurdly humid, today, and I wonder if that is a factor. Anyway, push clutch to floor and when it reaches the end of its...
  9. iPhone app issue

Hi, @JAY. I notice that when I launch the app it gets stuck loading. My workaround is to start swiping up from the bottom as if Iā€™m going to kill it, but I donā€™t actually kill it. When I do that the app flashes white really fast like a camera flash and then loads. iPhone XS on latest iOS.

  11. When is a wobble death wobble?

My 2018 2dr Rubi is about to flip 51,000 miles. No lift or any suspension mods. Tires are original. Never experienced this in 5 years, but twice tonightā€¦ Traveling about 60-65mph and hit a very small bump and everything started shaking. I let go of the throttle and it smoothed out after about...
  12. Service axle locker on and off

Over the past few months the ā€œservice axle lockerā€ idiot light has been coming on when I am at crawling speed. For example, if I stop at a stop sign and then start creeping out. I think it may also coincide with turning the wheel right, but itā€™s happened when just stopping at a red light. When...
  13. Any concern towing a utility trailer?

I've decided to buy a Big Tex 30ES 5x10: https://www.bigtextrailers.com/30es-economy-single-axle-utility-trailer I'm planning to pick it up with the Jeep on Saturday. It's 723lbs when empty, which is well below the 2,000lb tow rating for the 2dr. Any concerns or tips? The dealer is 90 miles...

  15. Connecticut X2Power Premium AGM BCI Group 48 Car and Truck Battery

TL;DR - had my Northstar X2 replaced under warranty, which took three weeks because it was out of stock. In the interim I needed my Jeep and bought another battery. Full history: https://www.jlwranglerforums.com/forum/threads/battery-replacement-question-for-the-experts.66343/post-1785349 Iā€™m...
  16. Knipex pliers wrench set

Had these delivered, yesterday: KNIPEX Tools 00 20 06 US2, Pliers Wrench 3-Piece Set https://www.amazon.com/dp/B005EXNT2Y/ (Actually found them cheaper on eBay.) All I can say is, ā€œWow!ā€ These things are amazing. Adjustables are now in the trash. Open ended set now obsolete. Vice grips will...
  17. Backordered everywhere - anyone have a lead?

My father-in-law ordered a trailer hitch assembly for his 2021 Kia Seltos months ago. He was jerked around by various support personnel at carparts.com until they finally said the part was not available. They refunded him, but that doesn't help. I've looked at Rock Auto, Summit, eBay, Amazon...
  18. Something smells šŸ‘ƒ

3+ years and almost $40,000 miles on my 2dr manual, and all of a sudden Iā€™m noticing a smell when I get in after the Jeep has been sitting. I donā€™t really notice it when driving. (Nose blind?) It doesnā€™t smell like clutch, which is my biggest worry with the recalls (Iā€™ve had both done). It...

  20. Parking brake occasionally skips a click (clunks)

Symptom: one out of maybe every 10 times I engage the parking brake it makes a ā€œclunkā€ when I reach the point where itā€™s fully engaged. It feels like it skips the last click or two. It holds the vehicle just fine. Iā€™m familiar with how to adjust looseness in the parking brake, as outlined here...
