  1. Need Help: Spare Wheel Tire Carrier Stud Spinning

I have the OEM spare wheel carrier, mounted with the Mopar relocation bracket. The bottom mounting stud is loose and spinning. It can actually be pushed down up by hand. Any suggestions on a way to press fit it back, or do I need a brand new tire carrier?

  3. Why not 285/75/18?

285/75R18 is the factory tire size for the F250/F350 Tremor package. That is a great tire size from a clearance/rubbing point of view on Jeep. 295/70R18 and 305/70R18 are other options that are close and more mainstream (I've run both sizes and it works well. They clear my larger aftermarket...

  5. You Get What You Pay For..

Actually, human average lifespan is now ˜3.5 times greater than it used to be. I.E. humans, specially those with access to modern transportation and medical technology, are getting killed and injured at rates that only a fraction of what they used to be. For healthy people, the reduction in...
  6. You Get What You Pay For..

You do know that the whiplash seat test shown is for exactly that scenario, right?
  7. You Get What You Pay For..

The driver is the cause of over 95% of traffic accidents and fatalities. Therefore, the driver is the biggest safety failure point. There - fixed it for you. The primary reason vehicle fatality rates keep coming down is because the HW and SW in vehicles is getting better to compensate for...
  8. You Get What You Pay For..

So if a kid runs in front of your vehicle, you don't care if the vehicle stops before hitting the kid or runs over the kid? And if hitting the kid is unavoidable, you don't care if the front end design cracks the kid's skull or simply gives him/her a bruise? Maybe you would care about the...
  9. Optimum Gears?

1st gear ratio on the automatic is really a variable ratio with the torque-converter able to "slip" the coupling without all the wear and burnt clutch smell if you tried to do it with a manual. So for the same effective ratio, torque converter autos will always higher (numerically lower) 1st...
  10. Will the Bronco cause a price drop for the Wrangler?

Vehicles like the new Bronco, the new Defender, the soon to be announced new Hummer, etc will not be taking massive sales from the Wrangler. What they are doing is massively increasing the size of the segment. Just look at the history of the SUV, then the history of the crossover. Every...
  11. Optimum Gears?

Oh, boy. OP is unhappy that an automatic transmission automatically shifts to be in the optimal gear for the onditions. What are you going to do when you buy a truck with a 10-speed automatic? Be upset if you see anything but a 10 on the panel? These multispeed transmissions are there to...
  12. My Jeep fire extinguisher saved a vehicle last weekend

Good citizen. If you can put out a fire with minimal risk, do it. Had that vehicle burned out of control lots of bad things could had followed from that. Blocking of traffic, FD and police having to come to the scene with full codes, heck you could even spark secondary fires as things burst and...
  13. Expected Vendor Lead Times *RANT*

Just keep rewarding the good vendors with your business, and don't accept poor service or poor communications. I keep rewarding Quadratec for example. They have incredibly fast shipping and communications. Not to mention free shipping on a lot of stuff and incredible service. I prefer to order...
  14. V8 Wrangler Rubicon 392 Concept drive review by MotorTrend

One thing is for sure - you can't beat the sound and the feel of a N/A V8. Other than my Jeep my last 4 car purchases have been N/A V8 engined. I'd be interested in the weight comparison between the 2.0L Turbo (incl ESS) vs the 5.7L and 6.4L V8s. That 2.0L engine with all the Turbo plumbing and...
  15. V8 Wrangler Rubicon 392 Concept drive review by MotorTrend

What are you talking about? A - You can't wheel/flex a stock Jeep (I assume you mean JL/JT) with 35s. It will rub badly on Rubicon and tear your fenders off on other models. B - Also, said 35s, specially those who put wheels with more backspace to minimize rubbing, make the Jeep illegal to...
  16. Expected Vendor Lead Times *RANT*

Exactly. Making it very clear that Jeep needs to do better to gain my order. Pushing those points, make it come up on search engines and enables other like minded potential buyers to chime in. If Jeep only hears from the low standards owners, they will never be motivated to do better. And...
  17. Expected Vendor Lead Times *RANT*

It's called doing due diligence - BEFORE buying. Vs buying then being abused by Jeep and begging for a steering fix for example. I know that may be a difficult concept for you to grasp. That some of us like to make informed choices, and jump on forums and research the vehicles before making a...
  18. V8 Wrangler Rubicon 392 Concept drive review by MotorTrend

A think people are in for a rude disappointment. Remember the JT? Everyone here said that this was THE thing Jeep needed to do. They can't give it away. Every single dealership around has $10K discounts to move them. Remember the Diesel? Everyone here said it was THE thing that Jeep needed to...
  19. V8 Wrangler Rubicon 392 Concept drive review by MotorTrend

On the item of transition and nudging customers towards more fuel efficient engines I agree with you. Saying that Jeep is doing the samething as Ford is a huge stretch. The number of engines that Ford offers on the F150 is mind bogging. There is real choice there at virtually every HP/Tq level...

No officer, my husband did not beat me too much, give him a break, it was because of COVID and the California fires.......I was complaining too much.....I deserved it....once the fires are out he will beat me less....I don't think I can do better than him....he is really OK to me....only beats...
