I can't find a clear answer on this, but does this ONLY charge with plugging in? Or does the turbo engine charge it when it's running? I have a pretty far drive to my mountain camping spots and need to know if it's even feasible with this model.
My jeep almost killed me in december( see my history to see if it helps you), VERY similar issue with the ESS. Its been 6 months and since the error isn't pulling a code no shop will do anything. Good luck not dieing. Also Jeepcares wouldn't help because I'm Canadian and the canadian branch...
1) trailer hasn't been on my Jeep since August, I'm not sure why everyone keeps bringing it up. It def wasn't attached when this happened.
2) if the data doesn't support what happened, I'll just get rid of the Jeep and eat my losses insurance and taxwise. There's no way I'd continue to drive...
Whatever is on there is perfect, doesnt matter to me what it says. If it says ess failure, cool! If it says grew spider legs and starting webbing, sure? All I'm looking for is the cause, so I can get it fixed so it won't happen again. The only thing I'm hoping isn't there is nothing, because...
The trailer was modified after most of those pictures to be more balanced, and also that was my first time towing so yes, my loading was pretty bad there. All fixed now
Sorry for the absence, I've been trying to stay out of the issue while the shops figure out what's up. Here's the damage. Speed was at 45km/h, slightly downhill. And my steering is normally super loose, and has a deadspot that I've taken it in for but was told is fine.
I drive fucked up forklifts on a daily basis, 5 different units, one of which doesn't have a power steering unit. Other than those, the biggest I've driven is a Dodge 3500dually
Yes, since it's a jeep/mechanical issue I need to prove it, so then our insurance provider goes after FCA. until I can prove that, they automatically name you as the at fault party.
Yeah, it's likely I'm screwed for the insurance reasons. What I'm hoping to get out of this is simply have the Jeep bought back because it's not safe to operate clearly.
/Shrug what happened happened,
Wow, option 1 sounds like it could likely be true. I've had several problems with my ess causing misstarts as well as stalls. You've given me another vector to attack when it gets to it, thank you.
I'm sorry, I don't know what that is, that's why I take to dealer, I have limited time to go too indepth on the mechanical learning. All current recalls in Canada are up to date. As for the wheel I don't know, fire rescue were in and touched it and I didn't get to really go back in since it...
Its going to be towed to the dealer i bought it from, and i was there the night it happe
So what you are saying is that you don't trust the dealers at all? That's a pretty grim look at things. As for "can't fail like that" well, since it happened it can, but i agree with the sentiment that it...
I'm aware it sounds kinda far fetched, but that's why I took it to the dealer to get diagnosed, it was really scary. The first time it happened it lasted about 7seconds and it was 15* C out, no way it was ice. Thats what is so messed up, whichever way it goes I'm never going to feel safe in...
Hell if I know my man. I'm no mechanic, and am unawares of what is what type of connection. All I can say is the symptoms at time of incident which is unresponsive brakes, and the steering wheel was essentially a giant dead zone
