If this is the manual transmission option that will stay in the JL and JLU upon production, I spy a change in the shift pattern. That's going to confuse a lot of drivers out there but I personally like it :clap:

My best guess would put it somewhere around 4000 combined. 500-1000 in the bed, 2500-3500 towing with up to 500 trailer tongue weight. At least that's what I'm hoping for because hey wouldn't it be cool to pull a trailer with your modded Wrangler on it to the trails with your Wrangler truck ?

So would I if it were a touch more practical for me like an extended cab instead of 4 door. IMHO they got the look of it right with the 2005 Gladiator Concept.

Looks great but I'm not so sure how much I like the turn signals in the mirrors or the DRL's and markers in the flares. How much of an issue are the marker lamps in the mirrors going to cause when removing the doors? And likewise for the DRL's and marker lamps in the flares, they're certain to...

So at this point in time it basically looks like it would be taking over the slot that the Dakota held in the FCA lineup and marketed to that customer demographic. Count me somewhere between 3 & 4 as a prospective buyer.

Very true, if the sales numbers aren't up to expectations dealerships will be pushing harder to move the units they have in stock just like with any model that has larger production numbers than sales. As for cutting into RAM sales, in order to take that into consideration the big question is...

My concern for the production run length and it even starting are based on a few factors. #1 and #2 are the JK8 Independence and Brute conversion packages that are available to turn any JKU into a truck. #3 and the one IMHO which makes #1 and #2 stand out so much is the relatively short 6 year...

I'm holding out as long as I possibly can for the JT over a JL or JLU simply for the fact that it may not have as long of a production run and want to increase the odds in my favor for getting one.

If they don't put the diesel into the pickup, I'd go for the Pentastar. By the way, what lift height and tire size is on that TJ in your profile pic?

Even though the Pentastar will most likely be what I end up with I am really optimistic about the diesel for the JLU and JT models, but for the JL I'm honestly torn between the diesel and the 4cyl. The diesel for obvious reasons, but there's just something about having a 4cyl under the hood...

Seriously hope that the design of the bed is changed to one more like the Gladiator concept or what AEV currently does with their Brute conversions before this goes out to the showroom floor. Ram bed used for testing, that's fine... Sticking on some cookie cutter bed like everyone else is...
