  1. Where the deer hunters at?!?!? Rut is on!!!

Here in South Carolina, the season in the lower half of the state opens August 15th. You can dress in shorts, T-shirt and bug tamer suit.:)
  2. Where the deer hunters at?!?!? Rut is on!!!

I agree with you about the cold. The older I get the less I can tolerate the cold so I tend to hunt mid morning to afternoon or afternoon till dark.
  3. Where the deer hunters at?!?!? Rut is on!!!

    Yesterday just before noon.
  4. Where the deer hunters at?!?!? Rut is on!!!

    Outstanding job young man!!
  5. Where the deer hunters at?!?!? Rut is on!!!

I use the gutless method. I take the quarters, backstraps, tenderloins, and neck meat. It is carried out of the woods on a packframe, way easier than dragging a deer and much cleaner. Everything goes in a ice chest. There are plenty of videos on the method.
  6. What did you do WITH your Jeep today.

Reminds me I need to restock my fuel supply. I used it all to keep the generator running after hurricane Helene hit and we were without power for 7 days. I don't have that quantity of jerry cans, my storage is the 21 gallon tank in my boat that I keep full of ethanol free fuel.
  7. What did you do TO your Jeep JL today?

Neither my GMC truck or my 2024 JL would pair with the garage door opener (Overhead Door opener) in my house that was built in 2013. I searched and found somewhere online that some of the remotes for that opener would not pair with newer vehicles. I went to Lowe's and purchased a new remote ( I...

  10. What did you do TO your Jeep JL today?

So they can't access your secure area by pulling the latch and leaning the seat forward?
  11. What did you do TO your Jeep JL today?

Does your wife know you cut the back off of the couch to do that? ;-)
  12. Oregon Trip with JLU Rental

On the Washington side of the Columbia river is the Stonehenge Memorial (in Maryhill, WA). It is supposed to be a to size replica of the original. It was built as a memorial to those lost in World War I. If you are going to drive up the Columbia river, the views are better and the driving more...
  13. JL Winch Plate for Badlands Apex 12K

I installed an Apex (my Father's Day gift as well) on my "24 JL about a month ago using the Grimm winch plate. The winch itself when installed easily clears the grill but the cable would rub so I did the mod that moves the positive cable to the side of the switch box. My rubi still has the...
  14. DIY Roll Cage Rifle Rack

Nice build. I mainly hunt Wildlife Management Areas (WMA's) and unfortunately they require firearms to be cased. I'll have to check and see if a gun sock would qualify as being cased.
  15. Let's see those front Hitch set ups.

Nice. I noticed your snow plow mounting bar is missing a nut on the drivers side.
  16. Best AT tires for all driving conditions

My '24 Rubicon came with K02's which I thought would be great but, with all the rain we've been getting I found that those puddles on the edge of the lane cause them to hydroplane bad. I suppose due to the interlocking tread design that doesn't allow the water channel out?
  17. Cargo Cover with back seat removed

I made this 16 years ago for my 2 door 2007 JK out of 3/4" plywood. I now use it in my 2024 JL. It is 2 inches narrower than the tub space to make for easy installation and removal. It can be secured down via the rear seat hoops and if you put a latch on the underside you would have a locked...
