  1. 4XE Question

From the initial press releases, it was my understanding that the battery wouldn't deplete to the point that you wouldn't have the performance of the 4xe when you were out of electric capacity. I believe they explained it to the point where the system will hold back to allow for continued...
  2. 4XE Question

I don't have the answer to your main question, but the 4xe will not get 50mpg on the highway. If you take the 400 mile range and divide by the fuel tank size (17.2) you would get 23.25 mpg. The 50mpgE is quite different as it is an equivalent rating. I believe that 50mpgE rating is when in...
  3. My 392 Rubicon order is showing a price now ($77k) !!!

This is correct.... It is just 4 more gallons of gas. Got it on my '21 JLUR that I took delivery on in Nov. And good dealers will actually give you a full tank of gas when you pick up (like used to be standard years ago)!
  4. Connection issues from the USB ports to Apple CarPlay?

I have issues if I use the front USB port on the dash with carplay. If I use the one in the center arm rest, I have zero issues. I know it should work with either port, but maybe try the other port in the arm rest to see if you have more success until you get to the dealer.
  5. Headlight suggestions

I got an email about the Quadratec heated lights the other day. I don't have these, so no positive or negative remarks. Here is a link... https://www.quadratec.com/p/quadratec/premium-heated-led-projector-beam-headlights-jeep-wrangler-jl
  6. Question About Jeep Value (before I take delivery today)

In 2012 I bought a brand new 2013 JKU for a negotiated price of $27,500. I just sold that Jeep in Oct. for $26,000 privately (had 39,000 miles on it). It was still practically stock from the day I bought it with minimal upgrades. The low milage and stock form obviously netted me the top dollar...
  7. So....about the steering wheel saga 2021 model

2021 JLUR here and no steering issues. Best handling Jeep I have driven actually and I have owned every variation of the Wrangler. Sounds like something was off on that particular Jeep. My PSI is 36.
  8. 3.6 WITH Etorque vs. 2.0 Turbo (no Etorque)

You won’t tell a difference between the 3.6 w/eTorque or just the 3.6 besides the auto start stop. They both drive the same way.
  9. Which Compromise to Make - 3.6L eTorque, 3.0L TD, 392

Posted this a few times now, but the 3.6 with eTorque has been used in the RAM for a few years now. Was named to Wards top engine choices last 2 years. I drive short distances so the diesel didn’t make sense. I did take it for a test drive though and the seat of the pants torque was fun.
  10. Rear Cargo Mat Help

I am on my second set of Quadratec mats. I had them in our JKU and bought the JLU mats before our JLU arrived. They are a hard plastic but it covers the entire area and fits perfectly. It has a lip that prevents liquids from getting out. Not sure what you are putting back there, but we put...
  11. Don’t forget Bonusdrive money

Just got the email I am all approved and they are sending my check out. For anyone wondering about how long after you purchase until you can claim it, I waited 2 months to file and still was approved!
  12. Would 5'6" wife have issues climbing in / out of Rubicon?

My wife is 5’2” and while she can get in and out ok, she asked for a step for our boys, ha! Anyway we took the rubi rails off and put the LOD destroyers on and they are both great for a step and protection. I bough from Northridge 4x4 and got them cheaper than the mopar performance rails. I also...
  13. Color has got to be the hardest choice!

My last 3 wranglers were green, and the last was commando green. I loved that color and how it would look completely different in the different lighting. I went to a few dealers and the sting gray always seemed to look different. My wife said it was time for something besides green, and sting...
  14. Tread Lightly

Tread Lightly is an affiliate program that allows for 1% pricing under invoice.
  15. 3.6L "Hiccup"

I had the 3.6 in my JK manual and now I have the 3.6 in my JL but auto. The auto variation feels more refined , but there is an 8 year difference in the 2 engines. My 3.6 manual purred like a kitten at idle. Not to make an excuse for Jeep, but maybe you are just used to your previous vehicle...
  16. Help with pricing on first custom order

I wouldn't propose a dollar amount. I would email out exactly what you want and request their best offer back. That should weed out the dealers you will waste your time with playing the numbers games. In my experience, the dealers that offer the best prices on a daily basis and that you see...
  17. Don’t forget Bonusdrive money

I completely forgot about this! Thanks for the "bump" as I just filled out the information!
  18. Jeep JLSD 80th aniv.

I helped a friend with a JK quite theirs down a bit. I put some weather stripping in the gap between the lightbar and the windshield. Made a drastic improvement, but they ended up removing the bar in the end because they didn't ever use it and didn't want to deal with the noise anymore.
