Just back from the off-road shop and found that they had to epoxy the sensors to the bumper. I guess they got slightly angled away from the spare, but I think also the D-rings may also play a role. The errors it was previously throwing involved the right and center-right sensor. That far-right...
Fishbone side-steps and rear bumper. I like the way they match each other. I don't like the license plate holder mounted high up on the spare so I'm going to relocate that one down to the top of the bumper.
Thanks for the input and glad there's some kind of resolution here. I'm resolved as well but I can only give credit to my off-road guy who does most of my heavy lifting. I'm heading over there this afternoon and will talk to him on what he did installing the Fishbone rear bumper. Whatever he...
Issue: When putting the Jeep in reverse, the center-left and far-left sensors would either trigger a phantom proximity warning, or the dash would indicate the sensors are non-functional and advise that they may need cleaning (or some message like this).
I'm getting ready to replace the rear...
After reading redsyphon post above, dang if I'm not doing anything special here! You guys make me want to spend more cash than I have. lol.. keep it coming!
Put on a Rough Country 8" light bar on the grill guard and moved the pod lights up to the windshield brackets.
Yeah, but who wants to deactivate that??? That's like me saying to my wife, "Honey please, no shoulder rubs today.." Yeah, like that's gonna happen anytime soon!!! :)
Today in the heart of Tejas, fall set in with a seriousness not seen in a year and I knew Winter's coming. I get to the store, 7 mi down the road. The outside temperature is 38 degrees. I begin to feel all warm and cozy and the feeling just grows.
What is different? My Sahara decided that it...
I had a local off-road shop do the work and he did mention that it was difficult.. but not impossible. I need to head back to CA on family business but plan on bringing it back in to him to tap screws for the front plate.
Aegis? Nice seeing you hear as well! I’ll get some closeups posted shortly with all the connectors. Didnt mention it but a couple floods are being wired and mounted on the bull nose. More soon.
Thanks for the feedback. I bought the Rock Hard 4x4 mid-width and having it installed next week. We’ll use the BO tow brackets. i should be ready to post some photos shortly!
I sold the ultimate muscle - my Ford F-150 Fx4 truck. A workhorse. Pulled friends trucks out of the mud like if they were a toy. Climb trees if it could get traction. Couldn't tow a trailer worth a lick which I fault the Ford suspension.
Some people say I chose the Jeep because we share the...
OK, I just picked the jeep up and it drives like a whole different car. Instead of 1"-2" play and guiding the Jeep down the lane somewhat like playing ping-pong, now it drives with only 1/4"=1/2" play. I still have slight course corrections driving in a straight line, but the steering is more solid.
I'm with you. If it were straight forward, then maybe but if there's no issues in leaving it be and we still get the full open-air effect then why even bother!
My son was on the Curtis Wilbur stationed in Yokosuka JN. He used to talk about the CWIZ all the time. Said they were on patrol and a big bird got too close. Instant roast turkey. For you unaware, these weapons are fully automatic and controlled solely by computer system.
