I don't understand how it attaches or works
-Would it void any warranty related to the SOT?
-Would it overwork the motor or cause future issues with the seal?
-How does it fold in the open position?
How do you use you washers in the winter? I have outside spickets off to avoid freeze.
Also have the SOT, so no car washes. I don’t see any option for undercarriage only at any car wash. That would be a helpful option.
Assume the undercarriage just gets salted again on the drive home.

I am often in the direct sun as this Wrangler get's plenty of summer beach action.
I don't have any defrost issues other than winter. Summer it works well enough as you don't need intense defrosting.
If it sits in there snug, but not otherwise attached, simple enough to pull it out for the off...

How does everyone wash in the winter? I have all outside water spickets off to avoid pipe freeze. Not to mention the water freezing and getting real messy and slick.
