  1. Top 10 things Jeep should have done

Is the JL overpriced if you and 200k other people per year are choosing to buy them? The market dictates pricing and as long as they're selling 200k jeeps per year at the current pricing, they'd be dumb to reduce prices. If anything, FCA will keep increasing pricing until demand slows a bit as...
  2. Locker sensor failing

Read the link in the OP. You cant simply swap the sensor...that part isn't available and would make too much sense. Only option is replace the whole axle assembly.
  3. Top 10 things Jeep should have done

    1. Move front diff drain plug away from lowest point on bottom of the diff 2. Headrests that dont lean forward...especially in the rear where folks put carseats. Or allow rear headrests to be removable. 3. Front seat botton that lowers and tilts back more for taller drivers or move roll bar...
  4. Is the JL the worst Jeep ever?

I'm not sure why you're comparing it to a JLU when I didn't talk about it. In his post, he said it was a loaded 2018 Audi A4 in mint condition with 18k miles. KBB Trade-in value is $30K and private party is $35k.
  5. Is the JL the worst Jeep ever?'d be getting taken to the cleaners on the A4 trade-in at $24k. Even a German sedan shouldnt depreciate 47% in 2 years with 18k miles and in mint condition. I bet that dealer would relist it for around $34k.
  6. Canbus freak out Jeep had to be towed

Yep...dont automatically rule something out when talkin about Fiat Chrysler quality.
  7. Canbus freak out Jeep had to be towed

My jlu's electrical system went crazy like this after owning it 1.5 years and I had to disconnect the main battery for it to stop. I then reconnected it and had to jump the jeep to start it. After checking fuses and trying to charge the batteries myself and 3 frustrating dealer visits, they...
  8. Texas 2018 JLU Sport S Bright White for Sale, Plenty of Goodies. 37,000 OBO

You should read rule #1 & #2 in the membership marketplace rules thread stickied at the top of the main marketplace.
  9. Reid Racing Steering knuckles

I figured Reid would list it as a product benefit on their site if they were able to raise the tie rod like the JK. It's not listed, so I called Reid and confirmed...they weren't able to raise the tie rod for their JL knuckles bc it was hitting the lower trackbar mount and at another area...
  10. Reid Racing Steering knuckles

I wish the Reid racing knuckles for the JL increased tie rod clearance like their JK knuckles do.
  11. Illinois 2018 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon 6-speed Manual

Nice jeep! Illinois' vehicle trade-in tax that only allows up to $10k of a trade-in to apply as a tax credit for vehicle purchases is double taxation and ridiculous. With that factored in, your trade quote must have been around $37k. That's a sizeable hit on a nice 2 year old $50k...
  12. Putting Rubicon 4.10 gears in my Sport S?

You'll prob lose 8th gear on 35s with sport gearing and jeep will feel more sluggish. It's completely doable...simply depends on your ability to tolerate it.
  13. North Carolina Roll Call

Cute pics! How are you liking the km3's vs. STT Pro's? Looking forward to seeing your new jeep out wheelin.
  14. 2021 Jeep JLR problems in first few days

I was semi kidding. Pretty sure dealer has to have your jeep for 45 days to qualify for the lemon law. I'd take it back to dealer and get the tailgate repainted and have the noise addressed. Request a loaner or rental vehicle.
  15. 2021 Jeep JLR problems in first few days

Classic FCA quality...I'd request another jeep. Good luck..
  16. Washington JLU

You'll need to provide alot more info. Post a pic of the window sticker to show factory options. Also, you're pics aren't great for evaluating it properly...what's the condition of the body and undercarriage? Any accidents or dents/scratches? How many miles on tires? Did you buy it new? .
  17. Lost Rear Spring.

@thecritter Great stuff...thanks for the laugh.
  18. Jeep Market Research Survey: Off-Road Turn Assist and 4-wheel Steering

Spot on....that's why I ended up selling. The electronics and other issues became a major headache. It's a shame that FCA quality is subpar bc jeep's are awesome when they dont have problems.
  19. Really great Bronco features you'd like in the Wrangler

Meh...the cost to install proximity locks during assembly is minimal. I'd wager the vast majority of JL buyers prefer LED lighting and it wouldn't hurt sales. Otherwise, most other vehicle MFG's wouldn't have elected to standardize these things. Now that the base bronco has these things...
