I'm measuring the inside of the Tuffy enclosure at 39.5 inches wide and the depth to that weird hump on the tailgate/rear door at 27 inches,
I'm measuring the door at 37 inches wide and the lower portion of the door at 27 inches tall.
The width will fit but the height will be super close...
I sorta guessed at the measurements by doing that but I couldnt tell exactly what the width and height was. I'll do that again and compare it to the tuffy and see what I come up with.
I just don't want to take a chance on buying these (specially if I'm guessing at measurements) and they not fit...
Thank you for that info, even if it isn't exactly what I wanted to hear! I bet they won't fit in the Tuffy, unless I find a way to modify mounting points for the side walls.
I just installed my soft top on Sunday and re-installed the Tuffy. The first time I dropped the top all the way, the passenger side clicked but the driver's side didn't.
The second time I dropped the top all the way, both sides clicked. I'll get pics when I get a chance. Maybe tomorrow
I just put on the factory soft top.
I sorta wish I would have gotten a Trektop. I love the looks of the trek top both in all covered mode and in safari mode. Love the fact that you can use the sunrider feature while seated in the vehicle. Definitely can't do that with the factory soft top. Also...
I thought you may not have been familiar with that top by the way you answered!
I don't have one so I can't comment on any features of it. I chose to buy a factory soft top recently for spring through fall weather. I'll be so much happier this year with the soft top!
Yes I did. I bought a Rockhard full length aluminum bumper!
But to answer your question, no. The dealer claimed the was a new part number that they thought was the correct one. Of course it wasn't because Jeep must not make one. Ended up drilling holes in the bumper and mounting it like...
I was just thinking I could see myself taking the doors off and taking the top down. Then because I live in ohio it suddenly starts pouring down rain. I stop and put the top up, then the windows but I can't do anything about the doors and I head for home. (Complicated by the fact that they're...
Good info in this thread. Question. Keep in mind I'm totally new to soft tops.
Do I have to worry about the side or rear windows flying off at highway speeds if I am in the sunrider position and/or without doors? seems like a lot of wind would be coming through and putting pressure on those...
