Another 18 JLUR here with zero wobble issues until the steering stabilizer was replaced under warranty. Now I can consistently reproduce a bad d-wobble over certain bumps in the area. I’m having the dealer look at it this week, but will likely be getting a quality aftermarket track bar and...
Installed the Hotheads w/ Sound Assassins about a year ago, and have been super happy with them. They are well made and fit like a glove. I feel like they make the cabin a quieter and more pleasant place to pass the time. I purchased the SA’s figuring they couldn’t hurt, and haven’t been...
Yup twisting, swearing, and swaying the muffler back and forth a bit finally got them off! It was worth it though, about 1000 miles in and the sound has mellowed out a bit, I like it more and more.
I’m in Denver as well and my Jeep might just be your twin! Unfortunately I am looking for either gunmetal or silver wheels as well, but good luck with the sale!
Installed the Dynomax today, and I have to say for only having one bolt to undo, the install sucked. The exhaust hangers were a total pain in the ass. I used 2 different exhaust hanger removal tools, and still fought them for about an hour. I thought about pulling the bolts to the hanger...
My Dynomax just arrived today. I had the Flowmaster version but I didn’t want to deal with the poor fit etc, so I returned it. I’ll try to get the DM installed tomorrow and shoot a couple of sound clips.
Thanks I actually took your advice and am sending it back. Not worth the hassle! I went with the Dynomax and saved like 30 bucks. But regardless Flowmaster should fix this ASAP!
Thanks for posting this up! I just received mine today - I saw the bad reviews about the fitment, but decided to take a chance anyway. I have not taken it out of the box yet, but I’m guessing I’ll need to stop at HF first. I agree that it’s ridiculous that Flowmaster screwed this up!
Just bumping this up to see if anyone has ordered/received their ‘Premium’ soft top? And if so where did you order from? and what was the cost? I’m really bummed I couldn’t find a Jeep with the dual top option in my area that had the options I wanted!
Thanks to this very informative thread, I finally settled on and received my Roam steps this week. They arrived sooner than I expected, well protected, and in perfect shape!
They are definitely hefty and very well built, so I’m super happy with them. I chose to leave the Roam logo blacked out...
Good info! Thanks for sharing. I just received this version 13579.73 which hopefully addresses successfully the issue you had. I’ll post pics up once I get it installed (Hopefully today!)
This one however only covers the front seats, but with little kiddos always covered by the rear hard top...
I ordered this one from Rugged Ridge for my JLUR with the Freedom top. I just received it today, so I don’t have any thoughts on fit and finish yet, but it was fairly inexpensive and seems sturdy and well made. It also allows for the freedom top panels to latch over it.
I just wanted something...
