  1. Help a noob, let's talk Wildpeaks and snow....

I wonder in your circumstances if the siping actually made a difference, I've read a lot of arguments for or against sipping and ultimately it seems the difference is negligible. In other words if same tires and same conditions, just one siped and the other not it seems ultimately it depends on...
  2. Device not supported on uconnect 8.4

Yeah it's been a hit/miss for me with everything mentioned in the thread. I uninstalling Android Auto is not a 100% guaranteed fix as I previously thought. Now my only solution has been to just give up and and try again the next day, seems to only work again after several hours. Pitiful design...
  3. Adding remote start to Uconnect

Yeah they do, I have the 8.4" and was gonna call them buy never did. I was told they can't add it all unless it came from factory with remote start.
  4. Help a noob, let's talk Wildpeaks and snow....

They just have the usual M+S rating (I'm not tire expert but I know it isn't 3 peak snow lol). I'm actually surprised at how hard it is digging up info on the MT tires specifically but I spent a lot of time reading about them today. I have yet to see any negative reviews on them even from people...
  5. Help a noob, let's talk Wildpeaks and snow....

That's kind of a bummer. I thought the Wildpeaks were similar in all season performance as the KO2's. I just need something reliable to get up and down the mountains when they're hit with 12 or so inches of snow, any more than that is pretty rare. 90% of my driving throughout the year is dry...
  6. Help a noob, let's talk Wildpeaks and snow....

This is my first Jeep and I'm pretty unfamiliar with offroad tires and these Wildpeaks that came on my Recon. Here's what I've learned so far, my understanding is these Wildpeak MT01 tires that come on the Recon excel with dirt and mud but snow may be a weakness? Previously I was under the...
  7. Adding remote start to Uconnect

New FOBIKs will be included with the kit. So you'll have 4 of them lol
  8. Adding remote start to Uconnect

I ordered through the dealership, it was $325 which is about what I was finding online for the kit. And then labor was $125, install took just under an hour. You could do aftermarket cheaper, I just went with OEM for the simplicity and so I can just carry the one fobik and no extra remotes.
  9. New JL Steering Issue TSB 08-074-20 (for "Improved Steering Feel")

FINALLY found a dealership willing to do the TSB here in AZ, part is on order but they weren't able to give me an ETA, he said probably about a month. Tech confirmed the wandering, said it wasn't as bad as the others but mine is also only at 1k miles, anyway got the green light for the TSB :)...
  10. Adding remote start to Uconnect

My Rubicon didn't come with remote start from factory so I ordered the Mopar/OEM remote start kit and dealer got it installed. Everything is working great but I noticed it hasn't updated on Uconnect. I have the 8.4 unit and it works over the app to lock/unlock. Hard to find a lot of posts on...
  11. I think I purchased too much Jeep?

+1 on keeping the Recon. I was leaning towards a Sahara as well but getting it loaded up to the level of a Rubicon it just made more sense to me to fork out a little extra towards a Rubicon Recon and not worry about doing anything to mess up the warranty. Nearly all of the Sahara's I looked at...
  12. Cost to install OEM remote start

That's about what I'm expecting since the module is already installed. And sounds reasonable. How the other dealership came up with $400 is beyond me.
  13. Cost to install OEM remote start

Before I go further, I already have the OEM/Mopar remote start kit for my 2020 JLUR. It was the only option I wanted that was missing from my JLUR so I figured I'd add it in after purchase. I'm at the point of tracking down a dealership to do the install but I was hoping there may be some people...
  14. Dealership called me, says they forgot to charge sales tax. What.

Yeah I looked it over line for line, everything was exactly the same aside from the addition of taxes now. They dropped the MF to balance out the payments and overall monthly payment dropped a few bucks per month. I originally had the tier II credit/MF so they gave me the tier I MF. No...
  15. 303 for plastric trim and hard top protection

Ah that's a good idea, I have a few laying around I can use. I'm gonna try this next wash.
  16. Did you sell your muscle car for a Jeep?

I tried restoring one of these, but like many project cars it was abandoned lol. Would love to have that.
  17. 303 for plastric trim and hard top protection

What are you using to apply it to the tires? On my Wildpeaks it's a pain to apply it evenly. Rags and sponge aren't working for me because of the grooves and lettering on the sidewall.
  18. Dealership called me, says they forgot to charge sales tax. What.

I guess I freaked out over nothing. I just thought it was so strange for them to want to change things up and blame it on "forgetting" sales tax. I wasn't finding much searching for similar situations so it doesn't seem to happen often. But it turns out they did legit forget to calculate sales...
  19. Dealership called me, says they forgot to charge sales tax. What.

So I've financed and leased vehicles before but I have NEVER encountered this before. I just want to know if any of this sounds fishy or odd. Or if anyone has experienced this before. I leased a Wrangler almost a month ago and recently I got a call that sales tax wasn't added onto my contract...
  20. Did you sell your muscle car for a Jeep?

Oh man, what a change. I don't think I could give up an M5 lol
