This past weekend I loaded up and grabbed a buddy on the way to get our first badge in Bridgeport, Texas. Northwest OHV Park at Endeavor. Got to take the kids for their first outing.
I got a flatbed to haul the Jeep to/from the trail and hopefully to do some serious traveling with the Jeep in the future on some long hauls. Those of you who trailer your Jeep, what straps do you use to secure it to the trailer? I've been researching these car hauler tie down straps and was...
I hate to year about your troubles with the 3.0! Hopefully the new one will be better. I have over 8,000 miles on mine now and no visible leaks. Did you notice how hot your first one ran and do you think heat had any factor in it? My 3.0 runs really hot and I've been watching for related issues.
I have the 3.0 diesel and it pulls great! I'll check in the morning to see what the weight is.
I would usually pull it with my duramax but it was stolen a couple of months ago and I'm waiting on my 2021 to come in.
Ha! It only looks that low in the picture due to the angle. My trailer still sits low in the back. It definitely helps with parking lots. And obviously I take it out when off road.
This bumper is rough country’s rear bumper with tire carrier. The tire carrier is mounted to the bumper and also attached to the Jeep’s gate so they open together. The license plate is mounted on the arm of the tire carrier.
Thanks!
I think I gained about 6" with the lift and adding the 37x13.5 tires.
I yielded to the advice of the guy that does all of my lifts and understood that the hemi equivalent springs were used because that setup was equivalent to the weight of the diesel. It may have been a...
All of my temps seem high to me; however, they aren’t registering as high on the Jeep gauges.
My duramax usually stays around 210 degrees even when hauling and the Jeep is empty.
Thinking I'll invest in 5 of these. Gotta protect the spare too!
On a serious note, My truck was stolen about 2 months ago. It was found about 6 weeks later and it was stripped down and had 15 undocumented people in it when border patrol found it. My truck was one thing but if my Jeep was...
Went topless with the new wheels to “check the road noise” after taking the stock spare and third light bracket off. I can’t wait for the back bumper to come in.
I must say, quite pleased with the new tires.
Met up with a long time friend and fellow Jeeper and started planning the next adventure.
I thought about buying another connector as well but figured a few splices wouldn’t hurt. I’m no electrician though so I have a question. I cut the lead off of the rough country led lights that came with my front bumper and played with them against the factory fog light connector until I found...
I put door hinge mirrors on and gave them a spin today. They’re the Barricade Rectangular Adventure Mirrors. They do vibrate a good bit but are secure/stable as far as the mounting goes. No indication that they would come off. I recommend using a flat washer on top and bottom of the stock...
