As a Jeeper for going on 3 decades, the "few that just want..." Is approximately 95% of the market today.
People that off-road with Jeeps and post on these forums are the extreme minority.
I paid (a lot) to have this done recently and it did NOT resolve any of the USB connection issues, and now I have a center console with scratches and scuffs. My theory is that there is something wrong with the USB power supply...I have tested just having a phone plugged in for charging only, and...
I've tested every octane in my 2.0 turbo in warm and cold weather, and in all conditions I get slightly better mileage from the higher octanes...usually enough on highway to be the difference of 2mpg or so. I also (subjectively) notice a performance difference when hitting the gas to get to...
2019 JLU Sahara with the bigger screen and was having this issue as well, and I just had the dealer install this replacement cable while I waited for 4 hours...sad to say that there is NO CHANGE. My center console USB is still basically unusable now after working perfectly for 2 years. The...
I compromise on road noise/ride to be afforded the ability to drop the top and take the doors off, plus know that I can handle flooding/snow without concern. And I get the same features those often more expensive SUVs get which make up for it.
Again, if they only sold my old TJ style today...
It's not a fashion statement just because you don't put 35s on it and run it off-road every weekend.
We have one vehicle and three young children and I picked the Wrangler for a variety of reasons. At The stage the kids are at now and the lack of free time I have it's mostly a beach cruiser...
Wranglers have been selling like gangbusters for the last 15 years. We're at mid-cycle for the JL line, and some good Jeep-like alternatives are out there as well.
How often to Jeep owners buy a new rig? How many first-time Jeep buyers do you realistically think can be had? Jeep's have always...
On my 2019 JLU Sahara with 2.0 E-Torque, I recently replaced the main 12V battery as the stock one was failing.
Now noticed that since the battery swap, my rear Parksense doesn't seem to be working at all. No colored lines or beeping. No warnings, nothing happens when I press the Parksense...
Update: in typical dealer fashion they completely mis-diagnosed what was wrong and were trying to sell me a replacement AUX battery, which the 2019 JLU w/etorque doesn't even have. When I called them today to discuss the FEW on the 48V they tried to claim it was that little motorcycle battery...
Definitely E-torque and the dealer was definitely aware as we were discussing removing the entire 48V battery to charge it. They said that if you don't drive it enough the battery can go bad but I've got 30k miles on it over 3 years with lots of highway driving, so sounds like an excuse to me...
Has anyone ever had success with this? My understanding from reading about the Federal Emission Warranty is in order for it to be applicable the vehicle must first FAIL AN EMISSIONS TEST. Then an only then will the automaker be responsible for replacing covered items.
I am in same boat as OP...
Would this be the same kit you would need if going to from soft-top to Sky One Touch Top? I realize there are additional wiring components as part of that but I think you need these same hard-top kit for the rear window?
Wheeling all day without engine noise is a huge, major, impressive development.
Driving around town, not as much (but I certainly wouldn't miss the hurricane fan of my JLU).
Water simply isn't a problem for electric drive-trains and batteries. There are videos all over the place of Tesla's fording deep water without any issues. They are sealed systems, nothing gets in or out. No air intake to worry about, which is the biggest issue with ICEs and water.
You could...
