The plan is to relocate the SS in the future when the track bar and drag link get replaced. In the meantime, I thought it might be a good idea to remove the SS at the trailhead, and then reinstall when leaving to avoid damage.
Good/bad idea?
Agreed. The dealer claimed the camera for the collision avoidance/adaptive cruise looks through the windshield, and so needs to be recalibrated.
I asked about folding down the windshield, and just got a ādeer in the headlightsā look.
The Safelite people thought I was crazy for even thinking...
Ahem⦠it depends on how you want to get from Chicago to LA. If you want to stay on the interstate, take the bronco. If you want to take the scenic route, take the Jeep š
Weird. I have had the opposite experience here in Colorado. My first replacement was under warranty. I just had my second replacement installed at the dealership (2 weeks ago) because Safelite and others were a lot more expensive. The dealer also made a point of telling me that I would get a 2...
That dependsā¦. how long is the 3.6 at 100 degrees vs full operating temp? What happens if you overheat your 3.6? I would be more worried about overheating than 100 degrees, but thatās just me :)
I bought the Jeep specifically to use the hell out of it. My Challenger I bought new and drove it year round in Chicago. My Roadrunner was brought back from the dead for my retirement. Iām not about to hold on to it and save it for the next guy to enjoy. Too many people stash a nice vehicle in a...
Look at it this way. The GG costs more to get initially, but you get a free replacement if you damage it within two years, which is very likely. It comes out to be cheaper per windshield. If you have glass coverage, you are only making a claim through insurance every other time. Fewer claims...
I had my first windshield replaced under warranty, as sited by @Ratbert . I just had it replaced again(I paid for it) and I was told by the dealer that if it cracks again within two years, it will be replaced under warranty. Your dealer is being lazy and not wanting to go to the bother of filing...
I understand what you are saying. It is tempting for the bean counters to consider IFS, but when you look out on the trails, not even the rocks, you will find all kinds of JLās, JKās, and very few, if any, of the various IFS offerings. Why? IMHO, it is because most donāt think their vehicles are...
Well then, I guess Iām hardly anyone. Five BOH trails before 10k, a sixth before 15k, and a lot of other non BOH trails locally in between. Stock XR suspension, and there is nothing remotely āequalā with IFS.
There were a lot of JLās and JKās on those trails, with the exception of Black Bear...
āIn the old daysā I used a 10w-40 weight oil because of the added protection if/when the engine might get hot. The same applies to todayās engines. The 0W-20 was used for CAFE standards, NOT longevity. The additives are probably to make up for the fact that the oil is too damn thin on its own to...
Ok, this may sound like a stupid question, but Iāll ask it anyway. Do you have a skid plate installed over the Fumoto valve? Is a skid plate required? I have the valve, but havenāt installed it yet because I have been thinking a skid plate is needed.
Schellās Beer from New Ulm, Minnesota? I havenāt had one of their beers in years! I grew up a few towns over from the brewery. They used to be in a black can with a huge buck on the label. (The can was better than the beer back then:CWL:)
I moved to Colorado. I had Dodge/Plymouth cars and a 78 Dodge Prospector 4x4 pickup in Minnesota, then a Durango with full time 4x4 and 31 inch tires in Chicago. It was a beast in snow. Sold it for a SRT Challenger and regretted getting away from a go anywhere vehicle. Retired, moved to...
An old oil burner from back in the day wouldnāt work with synthetic because the flash point was too high.
If you are worried about it, change to a higher viscosity oil. (This is one of the reasons why I wonāt run a 0W-20 synthetic)
