  1. Stellantis layoffs

Has anyone else noticed that most of these high dollar "wins", i.e. promised investments by foreign companies into building new factories in the USA are projected to have 4 to 5 year time lines to come to fruition? Obviously it takes time, in some cases a lot of time to find sites, get permits...

  4. Taming FOB Switchblade Key

TAZER live functions can disable the 3 honk. I could not find a way to disable the 3 Honk with my JSCAN. However, I have found with the TAZER twice now that somehow the 3 Honks still happen even though the TAZER has it turned off. Both times, I turned it on in the TAZER, then turned it off...
  5. Issues with Off-Road pages

As @Ear Responsible said, they are trying to sell you an oil change. However, it might not be a bad idea to do the first oil change soon.
  6. Issues with Off-Road pages

I had the same situation back in September with my JT. Same solution. They called me every other day until it was fixed. They did try the "can we call or email you once a week" thing with me, and a day later everything was working. Prior to that, I had tried factory resets and other things...
  7. UConnect5 V2024.09 navigation map update available

Thanks. Checked Thursday and it was still 2024.09. Installation took about 30 minutes. It shows a new local road that was not shown in 2024.09.
  8. Does the jeep wave include the Gladiator too?

I always wave at Wranglers unless they have an angry grill.
  9. Back into a Wrangler after ~15 years

Welcome. Does that Duster 340 still run? Looks like a 73 or74. Anyway, congrats on the new Jeep.
  10. Jeep Recon 4xe Officially Added to Jeep Website

Looks more like a Bronco than a Jeep to me. As they say in the old country "Fugley"

@Tredsdert If you are not already aware of this thread, it is very helpful and there is a lot of discussion about before and after caster. This link will take you to some great self install info. https://www.jlwranglerforums.com/forum/threads/mopar-lca-swap.22474/post-919284
  12. Badland Apex - cable almost impossible to pull in freespool

I exchanged mine for another. The free spool on the exchanged Apex 12000# winch is easier than the one I took back, though it is not as easy to freespool as my first Apex 12000# winch. I think they changed something since I bought the first one in 2022, but at least I can live with this one.
  13. Badland Apex - cable almost impossible to pull in freespool

Did you ever find a solution to this issue? I had one on my 2018 JLUR and it was extremely easy to freespool. I just got a new one for my 2024 Gladiator and it takes all I have to freespool it. I also noticed that with the clutch in freespool position, it will still power the cable in and out...
  14. Does anyone use electrical disconnect pliers to prevent breakage when taking off doors

Have fun with that fog light connector on the frame behind the bumper. That one for the parking lamps on the fender is another non-intuitive fluster cuck. Push the red tab in, pull the red tab out, push the connector in, squeeze it while pulling out, and shake it all about. Electrical...
  15. 40% off Badlands winches today Dec 19th only

Page 2 of the instructions there is information about current draw for the first layer of synthetic rope. 0 to 448 max draw in amps, depending on load. I know, who reads instructions?

  17. UConnect5 V2024.09 navigation map update available

Can't help with the MAC. I did this upgrade last weekend on my 2024 Gladiator Rubicon-X. No issues with the upgrade. Formatted a 32G Sandisk Cruzer Glide to FAT32. Before: After:
  18. Extension cable for tazer needed?

Wow, that is a great dealer. Many dealers just look for any excuse to void your warranty. I always unmarry before going to the dealer.
  19. Extension cable for tazer needed?

It's doable on a 2024 Rubicon-X, but not easy. There is enough room to get some fingers of one hand up in there, and a small opening behind that black bar to get a screwdriver up there to hold the tabs with one hand holding the screwdriver pushing the tabs as far as they go and use the fingers...
