This talk of heavy drops gone wrong reminds me of my experience back in 1972. Back before "All American Week" was called "All American Week" we were setting up to demonstrate a typical airborne assault for the audience, which included our families, along with brass from the Pentagon and folks...
Thatr's the truth! Carfax shows our Jeeps as us being the second owners: just because we changed the titles from California to Tennessee when we moved last year!
We did a Jeep Adventure Academy day a few years ago and I asked them about this - they said that the temp sensor is de-activated when in 4L because you're probably running real slow, causing heat buildup in the engine bay which would cause a false temp reading.
Follow-up: We went online to the Columbia Jeep dealer and got an appointment - we could have got a same-day appointment but chose to drop it off the following day, which was a Thursday. Described the symptons and the service advisor said it sounded like death wobble. He said they'd check it out...
I wonder how this is defined: there are Porsches out there that have 4 distinct LED sources in each headlight housing - so do they count light sources, or light housings?
Don't know about the sales side, but our JLU is at Columbia Jeep in Columbia, TN right now to address a DW issue. I went online for an appointment and was able to get a same-day appointment, which suggests they aren't overwhelmed with work. When we drove in the first thing the service writer did...
I saw a cartoon in a magazine many decades ago - it was a customer trying to return a defective item. The customer says "But it has a lifetime warranty!" to which the customer service person replies "Yes, but it's dead now!"
There are a ton of folks out there towing Jeeps - many of them are pushing the towing limit on their RV with just the Jeep hooked up; add the weight of a car trailer and they're well over their tow rating.
Thanks for all the suggestions, folks - now to decide where to take it. We live just south of Chapel Hill, TN and the Columbia dealer is about 20 miles away; the Murfreesboro is about 26 miles, and the Franklin dealer is about 30 miles. I'm thinking I'll give the Columbia dealer a shot - being a...
So, we're driving the wife's stock 2022 JLU Sport S recently, cruise control set at 70 mph on the freeway when we encountered a rough patch of roadway. Suddenly it felt like we were driving too fast on a washboard road! Slowed down to about 40 mph and it smoothed out. I've read most of the posts...
We've recently moved to Middle Tennessee - specifically the Lewisburg/Chapel Hill area - and wondering if there's any Jeep groups that enjoy mild off-roading and social gatherings? We've got a 2020 JT and a 2022 JLU - both stock SS models - and we're looking for trail rides that won't break things!
My wife got a Hydro Blue back in 2022 and it was one of very few in the San Jose, Ca area. Here in Middle Tennessee that color is everywhere - she's upset that her Jeep is no longer unique!
