I misread at first as in they wouldn't even do anything since it could come back. As opposed to replace, don't repair. Yeah, sounds like your dealer knows the right way as well.
Look up my past posts in this thread for an exact time line. But my issues are now resolved.
August 2023 - took jeep to dealership for examination of the corrosion. They confirmed, said they would warranty, told me they would contact when hinges come in. They were going to replace hinges...
Just got my JLU (white) back from the body shop from the door/hinge/hood replacement for the corrosion issue. I had them leave all the decals off after the paint job. So now I have a very white blank canvas that needs a little color.
Looking for some ideas on designs, patterns, etc... And...
I've had multiple posts above if anyone care about the history. But got all four doors, hood, and some hinges warrantied yesterday. Now just have to wait for them to come in. They say it could be up to a year. But whatever... at least it's on the books and my 2020 will have new parts...

Nothing very elaborate here. Just hang them on things in the garage. The rear window actually hangs pretty decent off a shelf if you leave the bar attached.
I don't think there is a good solution besides leaving it at home.. or flat in the back. There is rigid plastic on and sides so it can't really be rolled properly.
I ended up closing up the garage, turning on the torpedo heater, and baking my jeep for about half an hour. That loosened things up just enough to be able to get the rear window latched in place. I think things turned out pretty good. If I have to complain about something it would be that the...
I just installed mine tonight. I gave up on the rear window after an hour. Need to apply some heat tomorrow I guess. Other than that everything went great.
