Technically, if your gearing is low enough, you can. For me, I'm running 37" Tires, 4:10 Rubicon axle gears, 4:1 Rubi transfer case, and had the clutch and flywheel replaced with an ACT kit, and the only thing I need to do is keep my foot lightly on the gas to keep forward motion to stop it from...
I have these. they're ok. the screws are kind of annoying but other than that it works great. I can put a coffee mug in the bump out spot. From my Build thread:
SHOTS FIRED.
True wisdom spoken right here.
As for OP's question:
Have you thought of buying a used Sport at Auction or something like that? Could get it much cheaper and if you're going to be swapping (basically) the entire drivetrain you could easily get that all under $50k if you find the...
And don't forget- Dealers and OEM's all have new vehicle financing arms- they love to make money that way. A 35% MSRP cut would be shooting themselves in the foot, they would end up with a ton of overvalued inventory they can't make the money back on, unless they were to offer some incentives...
LOUDER PLEASE, AND AGAIN FOR ALL THE PEOPLE BITCHING AND COMPLAINING. THEN POST LINKS TO YOUR JOURNEY THREADS.
<OK, I get the sarcasm, but there is some validity to your statement>
Straight up: Love the old Jeeps. LOVE them for the style and simplicity. If i was building a dedicated trail rig/...
This has always been my take. You display this stuff on your vehicle to show you, as the driver, have earned them, and the vehicle has proven itself. However, if the Jeep changes hands... it starts over. It's like unlocking items in a video game.
This is cool. I just hope it doesn't only end up with Jeep branded garbage though. A lot of the branded stuff is 2nd or 3rd tier quality, ends up breaking easily or getting outdated fast.
I've felt this way about most Jeep colors for a LONG time. It's why when I bought my Jeep, I went with bright colors only, with Orange being the top choice. So when I ordered, of course that was it.
I blame that on the Orange CJ5 I almost bought for $500 YEARS ago that was more rust than Jeep...
Air tools and mechanics gloves. HUGE ass breaker bar, and rage. If it fully refuses?
Find a new bolt. Then cut the bastard off w/ a grinder, or if friends can bring fun toys (like Plasma cutter or a torch).
Also: lift heavier at the gym, but even that has limits.
Also, not sure if anyone mentioned it directly, but- it could be similar to The XR package only being offered in certain configurations or trims/ editions. Someone correct me if I'm wrong but OP's profile said he has a Sahara, and you couldn't get the XR in the Sahara. Barring some sort of...
I have lived in the Northeast (upstate NY) my entire life. I don't want nor do I need the added complexity that will cost fuel mileage and most certainly break down sooner. I have 2wd, 4hi, and 4 l0w. I can reach down and pull the shifter if things get sketchy. I drive within my limits and the...
Technically not true. IFS vehicles can get Death Wobble- it's just not as common. I found this while researching Death Wobble (on one of my old Jeeps) and found a handful of threads on slammed IFS trucks getting Death wobble.
This forum is confirmation bias though. We are the lunatic fringe...
Sounds like you're lucky. I can almost guarantee the dealers around me would take one look and deny anything. Then refer me to sales to try to sell me another.
I could have sworn the shop sent me something but I'm not finding it. It's entirely possible it is a shop thing or I misheard him, but I'll keep looking. I definitely asked him "50k mi on the MT's, too?" and he said "yes," but again- that might be a shop thing and the relationship they have with...
Dropping in to throw another vote: Follow @Roky 's advice. Not only does he know his shit, but I also trashed my OEM stabilizer in the stock location to the point where it actually affected steering (can was dented 😂).
I got a Clayton relocation kit and a Crown automotive Stabilizer for around...
For those of you running the Baja Boss MT's- What's your street pressure?
What's your trail pressure?
Getting them mounted tomorrow and I want to make sure it's good from the start.
2019 JLUR, daily driver, Weekend warrior.. so, all the normal stuff for hauling stuff and family, plus Winch...
Wrong. They serve as a warning of someone I don't want to deal with or have on the trail with me.
:CWL:
At first, Looking at this thread as someone with a decent amount of trail Experience, I was thinking: "Man, I have no idea what you all are talking about. I use my winch/ lift/ 37's every...
