  1. Custom JL Golden Eagle Build Has Landed

@tylercohn you are hereby nominated to fill the recently vacated slot of CEO - Jeep North America. Nicely done.
  2. What has been done to this Jeep and how much $$$?

YJ is the closest thing to a CJ. Mine is 30 years old, driven daily, and is put through more shit than it deserves. 200k miles and never once worried about clutch recalls/computer updates. 😄
  3. 2 door or 4 door?

Couldn't agree more with those wanting a longer wheelbase 2-dr. I think something like that would attract both 2dr and 4dr owners. An "Unlimited" 2dr version would be VERY tempting to this 2dr owner.
  4. 2025 Wrangler 4xe Willys '41 Special Edition Announced

EASTER EGG ALERT!! Each unit will be shipped with a hidden inert WW2-era grenade with its pin pulled. This pays homage to 4xe "heritage" for when she bursts into flames.
  5. Bestop wants to hear from YOU!

I second this. Def need tan top AND tan uppers.
  6. 3.6 power loss at elevation

I just got back home (600ft elevation) after another week in the San Juans, CO...(aka The Most Beautiful Place On The Planet) Things to note with the 21 Willys 2d 6mt: 1. I was too busy soaking up the views, air, etc and trying not to fall off the ledge roads to notice any losses. 2. I didn't...
  7. No need to push the start button.

You'll find mixed reviews here about the clutch recall. It doesn't really fix the actual clutch problem. Long story short, Jeep used poor clutches. The recall work MIGHT replace your poor clutch with a new, same exact clutch along with a software update that essentially will detune your engine...
  8. No need to push the start button.

I would suggest disconnecting the harnesses from the doors, see if that changes anything and diagnose from there. If you have a Sport with no power locks/widows/mirrors, you can just leave the harness unplugged (but still inside the panel. Keep the door stop strap hooked up though). I NEVER...
  9. What nobody tells you about Safari mode...

These are the stories that make driving an open jeep what it's supposed to be. Caught in a storm, dodging a storm, wildlife in the cabin, sweating, freezing, getting stuck around smelly things, driving past a wildflower field, getting close to wildlife, seeing/smelling/experiencing things that...
  10. Stellantis reports 48% drop in net profit in 1st half year [ ⚠️ *** ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS ***]

I still hope for the day when Jeep is owned by a smaller AMERICAN company again. They could manufacture the Wrangler and maybe a pickup. Stella is what, like the 6th or 7th entity to own Jeep.... no reason to think it'll be the last one. Better days could be coming.... but probably not.
  11. Half Door Kits now available in the MOPAR store

The cool thing about JL doors is you can swap out the locks in a matter of seconds. I bought half doors through fb marketplace 2 years ago. I swapped out the lock mechanisms, and haven't touched my full doors since. I've yet to find a better half door option than OEM.
  12. Off-road trip setup.

I don't have pics, but I strap a 50 gallon Husky rolling tool chest onto an atv hitch rack from Harbor Freight. Keeps everything dry and there's also room on the rack to cram a medium size cooler. When I get to where I'm going I just roll the chest to where I want.
  13. Do truckers/other drivers hate us?

This exactly. I've encountered several that have no business even driving a golf cart, much less 80,000lbs of truck.
  14. 2 Door JL on 40's... Show em....

Dude, that's bad ass! Nicely done. I think the camera fisheye effect distorts the proportions... like the spare in that one pic looks bigger than the whole jeep.
  15. Oil change sensor…do we trust it?

I can't believe how dirty the oil looks (almost jet black) in my 3.6L after only 1500 miles. I will never allow it to go past 5000. I use Quaker State full synthetic 0w20.
  16. What I learned on my own... away from general talk

Nicely done! Sorry you had to evacuate! Prepare for the karen wannabe online traffic cops to chime in in 3...2...1...
  17. I need my head examined

Happy spouse, happy house. The trail goes BOTH directions.
  18. Trim Level Advice

If you need the "go ahead" from the ol lady it won't matter what trim you get. I assume you will then need "permission" to buy whatever parts/accessories you'll eventually need (lift, tires, etc). I strongly suggest you get whatever you want that best fits your intended needs. Like the old...
  19. My Jeep hates gas pumps

This is the best thread ever. For me there's a very fine line between just the tip and jammin' it all the way in....
  20. Question on Driving - Wind & Mountains

I couldn't help but notice your decision making based on relationships. Life's too short for that shit. Rule #1 is you are #1. Do what you want. If she doesn't like it then it wasn't meant to be.
