This is my only symptom (ACT), and so far only three times in 14,000 miles. It happens exactly as you said - park in gear and let it sit. Perfectly flat lots. Weird.
It’s a good theory, and could explain the variation with mileage. Some people slip the clutch a lot more than others, thereby producing more dust earlier. Highway vs. city driving, off-roading, skill/technique, etc.
Combine with different installers applying varying amounts of grease to...
I like it better than Tazer. I was an early adopter of Tazer in 2018 because it was the only device available to manage ESS. It had its own bugs and frequent firmware updates which were cumbersome to apply (unmarry, unplug from vehicle, find the one USB cable that worked with it, cross my...
I used to have a Tazer and did not disconnect the bypass for CT emissions. Note that I had an original two piece Tazer.
Now I still have an SGW bypass, but switched to JScan. Pass emissions like that over the summer.
Edit: I also have a Smart Stop Start, now, and left it installed.
Oh, wow. Somehow for this whole thread I’ve been reading “lock out” as “locked in” in my brain!
What my wife and I have experienced a few times (only last summer) was lock IN, not OUT!
So I have never experienced lock OUT with my ACT pro mass. What happened to us a few times is reversing from...
I have none of that with mine. Installed June 2023. I’ve had the 1st/R lockout twice, and my wife says the same. Hasn’t happened since summer when it was very hot and humid.
Zero vibration, no creaks, no groans. It’s my favorite upgrade and 200x better than stock, and I was one of the few who...
I was thinking more along the lines of failing battery equals squirrelly everything. That's from my own experience back when I had a stock setup with that crappy AUX enabled. I was getting very strange glitches until I figured out I needed a new battery; a.k.a. gremlins.
I ended up...
Do you have a source for that? I don't see how it's possible.
There is a gear position sensor and when my Jeep was new (2018) and hadn't had any recalls I'd sporadically get an annoying alert that said something like "speed to high for 1st." It would happen when just shifting to neutral while...
18 months and ~12,000 miles on my ACT and I’ve only experienced the lock out once. My wife says twice for her. All three were over summer on very hot and humid days. 🤷‍♂️
Total opposite experience. Mark was absolutely phenomenal. Ditto for their service department.
If I had to guess? It’s holiday season and he may be out of the country? That said, back when I ordered he texted me back while on vacation and included a pic of himself and his family!
Try the main...
I have an old thread in the battery talk forum that explains a similar experience with them. The TL;DR is that I bought a NorthStar (USA made) battery from them and it failed within a year. They needed to keep it overnight to test, and that meant I had to drive it over there in a different...
You all convinced me there’s too big a pucker factor. Going to take the Yukon to off-site parking like we did last time.
Thanks for helping me decide!
2018 2DR Rubicon with stock tires and no lift.
I put a 2x4 on the highest point of my soft top and measure 6' 1"
So I should have 3" to spare, but that is not much.
Anyone have experience with these garages?
Edit: you all convinced me there’s too big a pucker factor. Going to take the Yukon...
