I’m very familiar with that area. I was in a band and did several US tours. Worst was driving from KC and deciding we would drive straight to our buddy’s in Dallas. Driving 75 through a corn field then all the sudden coming to a 4 way intersection with a gas station and a church and the...
My cousin lives off 334 (Great Hill Rd). I grew up down in New Milford, the other end of 67. I used to work down in Shelton near the Wiffle ball factory. Not that CT is that big, but I have pretty much lived all over the state, or at least worked there hhahH
Im in Plainville, and working up in Bloomfield. Drive through West Hartford every day!
What part of Seymour you in? My cousin and his wife live down there. Im down that way quite a bit.
I grabbed a $35 bag off Amazon which worked great....for 30 second. As soon as I went to tighten the straps the plastic buckle snapped. The bag still works great, now I just tie the straps around the headrests.
I “spoke” with them via Facebook comments today. They said they are aware of the issues on the 24’s and are working on a solution that will be available soon. They also said it doesn’t appear to be ever 24, because some customers have said they fit with no issues.
Absolutely user error, I wont try to deny that. Honestly too, I'm not that mad about the dash. I have 2 boys, 10 and 6. I'm surprised its taken this long for something to get messed up. Plus, once you scratch/dent/tear something its yours right?
I just wish they had said on the website...
I thought that too, but with the angle they sit at, if I had tried to used them on the other side the end of the mirror would be into the dash and couldn’t even get the screw on the end.
They definitely fit better on the top side, but there’s still gaps all around. I do think these are the 24 mounts, just not a real great fit, and absolutely will not fit on the bottom. I did call and email them, no answers yet.
I have wondered this as well, if they sent me the older ones by mistake. I just double checked my order (I have ordered the wrong stuff before) and it was for a 24. I swapped them to the top for now. I am leaving work in a few min and will take come photos of the mount installed on the top...
That was my other thought. The mount did not sit as nicely as I was hoping it would on the handle. They don't offer a different mount for upper or lower. It says on their site you can mount it at either spot. I guess for $300 I was expecting a bit more.
Anyone else have issues mounting their CMM doors off mirrors on the bottom of their grab handles? I have a 24 JLUR, I prefer the way the look mounted to the bottom of the handle Plus was nervous about smacking my head on them when I get in on the top side (I'm not a little guy haha). The...
Just got off the phone with Yukon support. They said that a Rubicon with a manual transmission is in fact a 28 spline. I can not find this same information anywhere else. The price they gave me for the new driveshaft was almost $1100. I dont mind having to move up to a 1350, but not at...
I just went out and checked under the jeep. I can see the tool marks on the front drive shaft and none of the rear. Its pretty obvious they dropped the front one, but I have not heard of a 28 spline front driveshaft in these before.
That’s what’s going me wondering. The photo definitely shows 28 spline yoke.
Like I said I was not there, I dropped it at a 4x4 shop near my work to get it aligned and swap the driveshaft. Full disclosure, I’m not exactly happy with the alignment. Caster was set at 5.2* and 5.7* (hence why I...
No they dont. My understanding (I could be wrong) was that they are interchangeable, just the yoke is different with a Rubicon vs Non Rubicon. If you look at Yukon, Adams, Tom Woods and so on, none of them list a different part number for a Rubicon front drive shaft
Just installed a 2.5” Metalcloak lift. I know I don’t “need” to do the driveshaft with the 2.5” but it’s recommended. Figured I’d just do it all once rather than get out on a trail and run into an issue.
