2021 JL daily driver with 43,000 miles and a half dozen moderate offroading trips to the Black Hills of SD and the only issue I have had is occasionally it will light up the check engine light for a few days and then it goes off. I don't know what that issue is but apparently it is nothing...
We had 15 Jeeps from our ND Flatlands group get together today to do a little Jeep run. Mostly gravel roads but some fun section lines with some hills and washouts and a little bit of fresh snow. Not a lot of good off-roading here but we had a great day.
I have AMP power steps and with the rock crawling I have done, they sound like they may be seeing an early death so maybe these would be a good option for me. I like having a step, but most of the rock rail/steps either are still too high and give very little "step" or if they hang down they...
I have the AMP power steps on both my stock Gladiator and 3" lifted Wrangler. I'm 66 and getting in the Wrangler is just so much easier now. The stock running boards on the Gladiator were just a waste. The level of the step was almost the height of the floor. The power steps are expensive...
It is a blast! Every year I get more comfortable and try to pick a little more challenging trail. I just replaced my 2" spacer lift with a 3" lift kit so now this year I will give the gray trail a try which is a step up from the previous trails I've done.
My only regret is I have AMP power...
I've done the Black Hills Jamboree four times and Jeep Camp twice in the Deadwood area. It is a blast!! This will be my first time at Bighorn Mountains. I understand it might not be as challenging trails but very scenic.
Back in 97 I bought a TJ and always wanted to try a Jeep Jamboree but...
My 21 Wrangler 3.6 MT has been my daily driver since I bought it, but I"m giving it a break for a little while because I need to put more miles on the Gladiator. I bought the JL and the JT both in November 2020. The Wrangler now has 43,000 miles and the Gladiator just hit 20K yesterday. And...
Ditched the cheap 2" spacer lift and had a 3" lift from Iron Rock Offroad installed. Looking forward to adding 35's and then hitting the trails again next spring.
I'm thinking of going the aftermarket clutch route too. I've been driving manuals for a lot of years but don't really know anything about a clutch but from what you are saying, an aftermarket clutch is a huge difference. I love a manual but have not been a fan of the one in my JL.
I' m surprised you noticed it. I like it but have only actually used it on the trail a couple times. It bleeds off a fair amount of light onto the dash and I don't really have anything to compare it to as how effective it is, but it does give off a lot of light - both white and amber. Easy...
This summer I had a shop install the DV8 MTO bumper. Yesterday I installed the DV8 MTO tire carrier. Pretty easy install even though the instructions were not the best. Next on my list is a 3" lift and then 35's in the spring.
Spent 2 days exploring some of the trails in the beautiful Black Hills of South Dakota taking in the Jeep Jamboree last weekend. Had a great time. Plan to do it again next year and maybe take in the Bighorn Mountain Jamboree too.
