  3. Locker Position Sensor Potting - DANA 44

I'm happy to hear this has helped you a little but and that really sucks about your dealership experience. It's an all too common theme, not just with Jeeps, but most auto makers. I hope they come through for you in the end.

  5. Is this a lift?

Yes. You'll have a net gain of 1-1.5" of lift.
  6. North Carolina Roll Call

Bring it on! Mama didn't raise no B**ch. Lol!
  7. Bikini Pearl Paint

There are several company's that sell automotive paint in a spray can. Here's one: https://www.automotivetouchup.com/
  8. DIY Gear Swap - Step by Step Video's - Rubicon 5.13

I've had a ton of set-up bearings throughout the years. I haven't made a set for these new axles yet, but I will, for sure! They are very helpful. If there's .003" of play there, you can feel it. Once the carrier is shimmed, you can use a pry bar to push the carrier towards the pinion if you...
  9. Locker Position Sensor Potting - DANA 44

You're very welcome. That sucks that the front is broken, but it sounds like you got the rear potted before it failed. Let's hope you saved it in time. I agree the Torx is easy to get to without removing the cap bolt. I put that in there so people don't accidently strip the bolt taking it or...
  10. North Carolina Roll Call

That's so awesome, man. That's where the real wheelin' is at. Wish I could move out there. It'll have to be yearly trips for the time being.
  11. 37s on a stock 2.0 Sport

Throw them 37's on there, man. You're not going to hurt it. Just wheel smart when you're off-road. If your street use is truly 99%, you won't have a problem running around town with them tires on there. Just save some money for a re-gear to help the Jeep out. This stigma around the DANA 30 is...
  12. Locker Position Sensor Potting - DANA 44

It's approx. the same, yeah. Also much much harder to see, so go really slow through the black material. Yeah, the entire sensor is empty. Just the cap is sealed around the edges. Oh I'm sure they're charging the crap out of DANA for this. This isn't FCA. The entire axle assembly is a DANA...
  13. Locker Position Sensor Potting - DANA 44

I know it's difficult to see. Pick the corner closest to the center of the sensor. Drill far enough away from the edges so the potting material nozzle will fit. The next set I do, I'll take a better picture and throw it up here for clarity.
  14. Locker Position Sensor Potting - DANA 44

You don't need the Z Harness to achieve this. You can remove one or both of the christmas tree retainers on the tub. They were put there specifically for this purpose. The same design is on the front axle, as well.
  15. Locker Position Sensor Potting - DANA 44

That's $180 per axle and they were designed to be used after the locker sensor fails. The sensor shorting out will still happen and could cause other issues upstream in the circuit. The Z-Harness doesn't fix or prevent anything. It hides the problem. Pot the sensor and your Jeep will work as...
  16. Power steps really worth it?

So many better places to put your money, but again this is very subjective. I can, however, provide a solution for vote:
  17. Where is/what is the ishaft bolt on a JL?

Stick your head under the Jeep and you’ll see a shaft going to the firewall. There’s only one bolt holding that shaft to the gearbox. Can’t miss it.
  18. Where is/what is the ishaft bolt on a JL?

This is the bolt that connects the intermediate shaft to the input of the steering box.
