  1. Who on the forums has a 2021 Wrangler? Whoever does share it here!

Yeah, but keep in mind like most things in life it pretty much becomes second nature. You reach down with your foot to extend the step and hop out. There’s not a lot of a difference when compared to other normal steps, however I’m sure power steps are a little (not a lot) easier. I think the...
  2. Who on the forums has a 2021 Wrangler? Whoever does share it here!

You got it, no drilling needed + as you can see from the photos, works with existing Rubicon stock rock rails. Side note - my pregnant wife also approves, says they work perfect for her needs, which is one of the main reasons I needed to get some kind of step, etc.
  3. Power steps really worth it?

I know a lot of folks think M.O.R.E hide-a-step(s) are over-priced, but I love them and they’re significantly less expensive than power-steps, however provide similar functionality AND they’re easy to detach when needed/off-road. Main reason I went with them was that similar to power steps...
  4. JL corrosion

Check your tailgate too, this is from my new 21 JLUR - no paint/clear coat by the hinge, which is exposed to the elements.
  5. BFG Ko2's suck that bad in rain?

Yes, they’re horrible in the rain.
  6. Would you trade JL for JT?

Meh... At first I was planning to buy a JT, but I’m happy I went with a 2021 JLUR. This is how I reasoned it out... you can easily fold down the seats in a JLU and get a ton of space to haul stuff if needed. The only time I expect to haul something large enough to need that much space would...
  7. New 2021 JLUR - Already Encountering Problems

Just heard back, they say it’s a bad coil that will need to be replaced. Anyone know how common it is to have a bad coil on an engine with 300 miles on it? Given that the coil is bad, are there any other things I should be on the lookout for over the next 1K miles?
  8. New 2021 JLUR - Already Encountering Problems

I just read through that thread, can’t thank you enough for sharing. I’m hesitant to suggest things to the service dept. right away (kind of like suggesting a diagnosis to your doctor after you Google symptoms), however if they’re not making any progress by Friday, I’ll start referencing what...
  9. New 2021 JLUR - Already Encountering Problems

In September, I picked up my 2021 JLUR (6-speed manual), with Mopar 2” lift installed by the dealership (they do good work) and 35” Nitto Ridge Grapplers. After hitting just over 300 miles, it started acting like it has a minor misfire, which is the best way I can describe it. Here’s some...
  10. Safety packages - initial thoughts

I opted for all safety features because of the move from a 2-door to a 4-door (been driving a 2 door for the last 20 years) and so I just figured why not... I thought I would like blind spot detection/warning, with just barely 300 hundred miles on my JLUR thus far, I’m not that impressed. It...
  11. 35" and 37" JL pics with lift kit

Did you have a Rubicon with 4.10s? I certainly notice a difference compared to stock, but it’s not too bad. I do plan to re-gear if I upgrade to 37s, however not to run 35s... I was on the fence about running K02 37s, which are actually more like 36s and lighter than the Nitto 35s; however, I...
  12. Half doors appears in system! "Dual Door Group With Base / Premium Uppers" [Updated with real life photos]

Sure, however I previously did in another post and for some reason folks got upset/sensitive when I point this out. I too LOVED my TJ half doors because they: 1) looked cool (single body line going straight back from the hood) and 2) because with the top down + uppers off, it was similar to...
  13. 35" and 37" JL pics with lift kit

Yes it’s the M.O.R.E hide-a-step... many people complain about the cost, however I don’t like the look of huge slider steps and power steps are too much $$$, so this to me was a nice compromise and I keep the rubicon rails as protection (win win). It’s also nice because when you off-road you...
  14. Half doors appears in system! "Dual Door Group With Base / Premium Uppers" [Updated with real life photos]

My 99 TJ vs 2016 Rubicon both with half doors. I will always miss the low cut TJ half doors... If you’re willing to spend $4K, I recommend getting sliders (easy and worth it mod). For what it’s worth, speaking as someone who owned half doors on my last two Jeeps, after learning first-hand...
  15. Jeep Wrangler Q3 2020 Sales Results

Really hoping this translates into them bringing back the lifetime MaxCare warranty (i.e. 2006-2007 financial crisis)...
  16. Rubicon vs Recon Rubicon

Are the Recon Rails significantly better in terms of protection when compared to standard Rubicon rock rails or mainly better because of the additional space to provide a step? When looking at it, I can imagine negligible extra protection. Not to say I don’t like them either, I’m just...
  17. Who on the forums has a 2021 Wrangler? Whoever does share it here!

2021 JLUR, 6-Speed, with Mopar 2” lift + Nitto Ridge Grappler 35x12.5 R17 on 17x9 Fuel Blitz Black wheels + installed M.O.R.E. hide-a-step because I like the stock look...
  18. Nitto Ridge 35s Optimal PSI on JLUR?

Awesome well let me know if ya do another chalk test and how it all turns out. Hope you have awesome weather camping - it’s the perfect time of year for it. Thanks!
  19. Nitto Ridge 35s Optimal PSI on JLUR?

That’s interesting. I paid my dealership to recalibrate my jeep to 35s too and when I picked it up I asked him if that also meant I can go lower than 32 PSI without causing the light to go off, and he said recalibration doesn’t impact the PSI sensor... however he wasn’t the mechanic, so I...
  20. Nitto Ridge 35s Optimal PSI on JLUR?

Awesome thanks! Do you get a low-tire warning with the PSI below 32?
