Thanks, fully aware of your suggestions. I did try with nothing on etc….. always falls on battery protection mode after the first successful stop/start 🤷‍♂️
They can literally drive in your tracks. I’d go with an atv with a plow before even considering anything else, but second would be to contract the snow removal.
Folks,
A few years ago, after getting frustrated of the stop/start not working, I installed an underhood charger to keep the batteries in top shape. I’d plug the jeep a few times a week and the stop/start was working perfectly.
Fast forward to last summer where I noticed that the stop/start...
What I had to do is remove the skid plate to access the winch plate and only unscrewed the winchplate bolts enough to be able to wiggle it. By doing so, I succeeded but it was a PIA.
3.5 inch lift makes a Jeep look way overlifted with 37s. 2 inch lift should be more than enough and the Jeep will look like it’s a serious build given the lift to tire size ratio.
Never forget that a 2.5 inch lift on an Xtreme Recon, is really a 1 inch lift, since the XR has a 1.5 inch lift over the Rubicon which is the model that is considered the standard height for a wrangler.
So Teraflex 1 inch coil spacers will yield the exact same lift. I’d also add the Teraflex...
I believe that the Hurricane will happen on the last year of the JL model. People seem to hold back when they know a new model is due to come. So to boost sales despite an obvious remodel around the corner, they’ll add the huricane L6 to boost sales.
Just like they constantly play with colors...
The 4xe is perfect for those with tons of short commute. It delivers in the summer, but hardly works in the winter since all the electricals are heating up the cabin, your butt and defrosting the windows.
The 2.0 was deemed as problematic when it came out, but it was due to the Jeep mechanics...
Then in your case, I’d consider 305/70r17. They are considered a 34. So would look less stuffed on a stock Rubicon, would fit your stock wheels and as a bonus, less impact on gearing.
Was going to vote for 4.56 which are perfect for the 35s, but knowing most people can’t stop moving to larger tires, I voted 4.88 in case you eventually move up to 37s.
I’ll just repeat what’s been said, but hey….
For a smoother ride, you absolutely need:
- smaller wheels, preferably 17 inch for a bigger/thicker sidewall, thus more cushioning.
- load C tires. I know BFG K02 come in C load, check maybe also GY Duratracs, Falken Wildpeaks etc…
- Run the...
Well, if you have the Selec-trac transfer case with 4H auto, you can put it on now and leave it til spring to enjoy the best winter wrangler ever built. However if you have the regular command track transfer case, you do have to put it on 4H when traction is necessary and off when there’s no...
None of the above for me. I prefer the general surround painted body color and the headlights and grill surrounds in black. I’m waiting for the black headlight and grill surrounds to come-in.
The secret of my rust free Jeeps through the years, is that I spray them every automn with 5-6 cans of rust proofing, and take most of it off with a few bottles of degreaser and power washer every spring. That technique works like a charm and my frame and components remain looking like the Jeep...
