  1. What did you do TO your Jeep JL today?

Thanks. No movement or sound at 80 mph. The high speed desert cross winds have no effect on the set-up, as well. My main goal with this set-up was to eliminate some of the desert trail dust, which was entering the OEM intake and fouling up my air filter, which I clean after every weekly run...
  2. What did you do TO your Jeep JL today?

Got the cube lights and mounts from Inspired Engineering some 2 years ago. They work great during our night runs.
  3. Best way to carry extra gas?

This set-up works great with my hitch mounted bike carrier!
  4. What do you do to your Jeep build when you reach the end?

At 2-1/2 years, I think that I have everything that I need on my JL. It has been a great learning experience, as I slowly added things based on our weekly runs out on the dirt. Like my 1979 Bronco XLT Ranger, this one will be a keeper. Initially, I included my daughter's name on the FCA lifetime...
  5. Best way to carry extra gas?

Good observation on your part. Yes, the tire carrier is offset to the passenger side.
  6. Your Emergency Communication Protocol When Solo'ing

The SPOT is an excellent unit! I used one for a couple of years until I switched over to the DeLorme inReach Explorer, which is now Garmin. I will use this current legacy unit until it is no longer supported.
  7. My Top speed 2021 rubicon

My JLUR is very comfortable and stable at 90. If I wish to go faster, I opt for 2 wheels or American Muscle.
  8. The Tire Carrier Thread

For the amount of off roading that I do, I hated the fact that my 35" spare tire and wheel were attached to my tailgate. Thus the long wait for what I initially wanted and to mount the spare to suit my needs and requirement. Now, I can hang a 37" set-up properly.
  9. The Tire Carrier Thread

Waited since early 2019 to get my AEV rear bumper set-up. Personally, the wait was worth it!
  10. Best way to carry extra gas?

I opted for the AEV 10.2 gal fuel caddy and a 3 gal Rotopax set-up.
  11. Gaia GPS or On X Offroad?

    Another positive nod for Gaia.
  12. Your Emergency Communication Protocol When Solo'ing

Prior to either touring on my bagger, hiking, Jeeping, I send my Garmin map share link, routes, and lodging locations to my 2 kids. I have been using an inReach Explorer since 2015. Aside from the monthly GPS fee, I also subscribe to an annual rescue/recovery plan. The noted is addition to a CB...

  14. AEV JL bumpers now available

Very pleased that I held out for past 2 plus years. I had almost given up. Got my bumper, tire carrier, and gas caddy a few weeks ago.
  15. New All-Terrain Tires On Stock Wheels?

Anything worth doing is worth doing right. Buy once, cry once.
  16. Thoughts on 35" (315) E rating vs C

I have been riding on E rated 35" Cooper STT Pros for the past 23K miles. These suit my off road needs. I have not noticed sacrificing any on road ride comfort . . . But then again, I did not purchase a Jeep for a plush ride.
  17. 4 or 5 tire rotation????

Have always rotated all 5 tires at 5,000 mile intervals since new. My Cooper STT Pros take a beating out on the dirt. After some 23K miles on this set, all 5 are wearing evenly. Installed the said after 14K miles on the OEM KO2s.
  18. Rubicon Poll - Have you had problems with your locker sensors

At 37,XXX miles, have yet to have the noted issue. The front and rear lockers are used on a regular basis out here in the desert in various 4L scenarios.
