If it drives fine, leave as is. Several members stated that they have no issues with the aluminum design. It was not a recall.
Install the brace, and enjoy it.
Similar issue... Hit the sunshade and broke the crap into little pieces...Spotted seat, door, for etc with little white spots...

It's possible that you do not have the transmission filter in proper position.(The seal could be damaged? torn etc....). That will allow air to enter the valve body.... Might have to drop the pan and reinspect..... As long as fluid is correct, that's all I can suggest.
