  1. 4.56 or 4.88 regear for on road use?

I have 4.56s on 35s and I have a 6 speed. It‘s a great set up, 2500 revs at 75 mph in 6th. I never have to downshift on the highway (Maryland has some hills, but nothing crazy) and can go 60 mph in 6th gear without lugging the engine.
  2. 4.56 regear done with 6 speed manual

in 6th my speed was 72 mph at 2500 revs.
  3. 4.56 regear done with 6 speed manual

I had 4.56 gears and 33s for a year. It was a great setup. I now have 35s and wish I had 4.88s, so it would be like the 33s and 4.56s. I also have the 6 speed manual.
  4. Swap for D44 front or beef up D30?

I have a sport on 35s and swapped a ProRock 44 with an elocker for my M186. I have a 6 speed manual and also found the 3.45s barely tolerable on road on my old 33”s. I now have 3.56s with the 35” tires and if I had it to do over would probably 4.88s. The higher gears help with the gap between...

i did the same (4.56s) and the gear swap was the best mod, hands down.

Any updates on the rev hang for us with 6-speeds? Thanks
  8. 4.10 or 4.56

no doubt about it, 4.56s are worlds better than those 3.45s. the difference between 4.56 and 4.88 would be pretty small by comparison.
  9. 4.10 or 4.56

I have 35s on 4.56 gears and a six speed. I had 33’s and the 4.56 gears for about a year. I actually think the 4.56s were perfect for the 33’s. Very responsive in 6th on the highway. The 35’s are a little more sluggish, and if I had it to do over, I’d go 4.88s and my 35’s. In addition to the...
  10. Squeaky Clutch/Slave Cylinder 6 MT

If you push the clutch pedal to the floor (make sure your Jeep is blocked from rolling) the spring is pretty easy to take out/put in.
  11. Livernois Mycalibrator Tune Claims 50HP Gains (on E85) for V6 JL Wrangler

thanks for the 6 speed review. I will likely pull the trigger once (if?) the rev hang issue is figured out. I agreethat more power is always nice, but the drivability is key.
  12. Will I benefit much from Sway Bar Quick Disconnects?

Sorry, I don’t have that set up any longer. When I lifted my Jeep I added Synergy sway bar link extenders, which allow the JKS quick disconnects to be removed in the standard way (from the axle side). If a pic of that helps, let me know and I’ll get one. Here are the extenders, pic included...

  14. SWR CB tuning

That is weird. Is it possible th SWR meter itself is faulty? I’ve never seen the SWR meter not change with changing the antenna length. Can you hear and transmit ok?
  15. SWR CB tuning

You didn’t mention tuning the antenna itself, but I’m assuming you’ve tried that already?
  16. Body roll after 2.5 inch lift on my sport with 35s

I have this on my 2.5” lift and it does help.... with the squirmy feeling on crosswinds, and also with body lean. Best of luck.

Sorry, gave them away just this AM.
  18. Livernois Mycalibrator Tune Claims 50HP Gains (on E85) for V6 JL Wrangler

Thank you for responding to us manual gearbox folks! I understand there is no promise made, but I appreciate the effort all the same. PS I can get rid of my rev hang for about $5k miles if I disconnect both battery ground leads and separate them for 15-20”. I’m sure this shade tree approach...
