  1. Adding Sun Sensor and In-Cabin Sensor for Auto A/C

I don't know if you managed to figure this out but I activated mine using the Tazer. Some settings on Jscan might not work properly since they aren't all tested. I know the Tazer route works 100% since I was the one that tested it for Joe.
  2. Adding Sun Sensor and In-Cabin Sensor for Auto A/C

Given that you have the auto headlamp signal and sensor ground wires connected to C2 of the HVAC module, then yes.
  3. Adding Sun Sensor and In-Cabin Sensor for Auto A/C

Good catch. I'll note it down in the updated guide soon.
  4. Adding Sun Sensor and In-Cabin Sensor for Auto A/C

I apologize for being absent and falling behind on answering questions in this thread. 1. The location in which you feed power to the in-cabin temperature sensor doesn't matter as long as it is a switched ignition feed. In reality, the in-cab sensor only uses the signal and return wires to...
  5. Is there a Key FOB window down function?

The power window circuit on the JL isn't connected to the CAN bus, but instead exists as its own separate circuit. Therefore, there's no way for the BCM to tell the windows to move via a remote command.
  6. Upgrading from the 5" UConnect3 to 7" UConnect4?

There's no chance of it working without a flash to the BCM. If you were to swap your 5-inch radio controls for the automatic climate controls tack without a flash, you won't be able to turn on or adjust the a/c in any way.
  7. Upgrading from the 5" UConnect3 to 7" UConnect4?

You would have to build the harness for the sun sensor and the in-cabin temperature sensor in your case. I made a comprehensive write-up on how to do this exact thing a couple of days back. Give it a look if you're interested...
  8. Adding Sun Sensor and In-Cabin Sensor for Auto A/C

This is the first write-up I've done here on the forums so feel free to message me if you have any questions. Ever since Joe added the ability to turn on Automatic Climate Control for those who upgraded to the 7-inch UConnect, there's been many of us who wondered how we could add the missing...
  9. Window Express Down - OBD JScan or Other Programmer

The power window system on the JL is independent of the body control module and the CAN network. There's no way of "programming" the power window system. The way in which the switches are designed to work would not allow for express down on the back windows regardless.
  10. DRL Dropout

Since you have a Sport, you're missing the DRL Driver wire for both fenders. The way that the switchbacks work is that they turn white when Parking Lamps Driver circuit is hot and they turn amber as soon as Turn Signal Driver circuit is hot. There is no setting in the JL that makes the Parking...
  11. OEM auto dimming rear view mirror

Did the on-screen toggle for the auto dim mirror show up on the UConnect screen after you tapped into the compass module's wire without doing any programming? Also, are you using an 8.4 inch UConnect?
  12. Upgrading from the 5" UConnect3 to 7" UConnect4?

You'll need to flash the BCM for Automatic HVAC in order for the control stack and climate to function. From there, if you want to use the "Auto" feature and make sure it functions properly, you'll need to install the In-Cabin Temperature Sensor and the HVAC Sun Sensor. Information on how to...
  13. Upgrading from the 5" UConnect3 to 7" UConnect4?

It goes on this spot right below the steering column to the right.
  14. Jeep Wrangler JL Sequential LED DRL & Turn Signals - Morimoto XB LED

Yes, the Tazer allows factory fender DRL output for Sport and Sport S models. It also allows you to configure the Jeep for LED turn signals so you don't get hyperflash.
  15. Is there a difference between dealer flash and Tazer?

No, both the dealer flash and the Tazer changes are identical. The dealer just performs a different process, using "sales codes" to upload the new configuration to an FCA database, which they then download and flash the BCM with. The Tazer goes straight to the BCM and changes the configuration...
  16. Upgrading from the 5" UConnect3 to 7" UConnect4?

Well, I'm gonna have to make a note on that. This simplifies things greatly for Sport S JLs (at least 2020s). You would only need to buy the in-cabin temp sensor and the new sun sensor, plug them in, and you should be good to go!
  17. Upgrading from the 5" UConnect3 to 7" UConnect4?

That's interesting.. from the looks of it, all of the wires you need are already in the C2 connector, even though your Jeep doesn't have the in-cabin sensor or HVAC sun sensor. That would have to mean there should be a connector for the in-cabin sensor somewhere in there that isn't connected to...
  18. Upgrading from the 5" UConnect3 to 7" UConnect4?

The HVAC module is located beneath the steering column to the right. You need to take off the trim piece underneath the steering wheel and then move the front driver seat all the way back. The module is bolted onto the black HVAC housing and it has 2 connectors: a big horizontal connector with...
  19. Upgrading from the 5" UConnect3 to 7" UConnect4?

There is no use in adding the additional duct temp sensors, since those will only be beneficial in a dual-zone setup. These sensors actually go into the air distribution box and not the actual ducts, meaning that you cannot buy the sensors apart and install them; they come installed when you buy...
  20. Upgrading from the 5" UConnect3 to 7" UConnect4?

You will need to buy a new sun sensor because the one you have doesn't have the 2 additional pins needed for automatic a/c sun load detection. That also means you will need to route 2 wires to connector 2 of the HVAC module. As for the in-cabin temp sensor, you will need to purchase the sensor...
