I have had a @Metalcloak DEF skid on my Jeep for about 3 years now. And it wasn't quite holding up. I picked up a replacement while I was out doing the Rubicon trail earlier this summer. Got it swapped in today.
You can tell it needed the gussets on the back end.
Who else is planning on going to Safari?
It's only a few days away. I'll be there starting this Saturday. Looking forward to hitting some fun Jeep trails.
I'm going to be putting together a video about gears and I'm looking for some take out gears from a rear M220 to show side by side in the video.
The video is going to be a close look at what exactly changes when you change the gear ratio in your axle.
I want gears that are going to the scrap...
So our little group has been filming ourselves doing installs and such. We did 3 lift kits many months back.
It's more technical than entertaining but we cover details of installing the kits and comment on the differences we encountered. We also do a post install review and come back later to...
We've been experimenting a little with documenting some of the work we've been doing with our Jeeps.
I recently did a full upgrade to my front Rubicon axle. Truss kit, new seals, new ball joints, new RCV shafts and tube seals, Reid knuckles, sector shaft/track bar brace, and steering...
Did my first oil change today. The Metal Cloak skids do provide an access hole. Nothing too surprising. The access hole still caught some oil. Took a few shots of it from the side.
You can see the oil dripping down from the drain plug.
I installed the Fumoto after draining. The access...
I just got my ProCal (don't care about all the extra stuff the Tazer offers).
I'm reading through the instructions and see they add a harness to pins 1 and 9 on the OBD connector.
As I look at my module, it almost looks like pin 1 is broken off. I can see where it comes off the circuit board...
Hopefully this isn't a dumb question that has been asked a bunch of times. But my Google-fu is failing me and I can't find any information on this topic. Hopefully someone smarter than me knows the answer.
I have the upgraded alpine sound system and it's good enough for me. However, the...
I picked up my brand new 2021 JLURD yesterday. Ordered it equipped exactly like I wanted. It's pretty well loaded with all the electronic goodies but with cloth seats. Just a hard top for now. And the dealer installed 35x12.5/17 Duratracs.
This is going to be mostly a daily driver that I...
So I'm new on this forum but not at all new to forums or Jeeps. I've lost track exactly how many Jeeps I've owned but it's more than I can count on two hands at least.
I just ordered a diesel Rubicon unlimited. Picked out an uncommon combination of options that I couldn't find on the lot...
