  1. New JL Steering Issue TSB 08-074-20 (for "Improved Steering Feel")

That is a bummer as I understand switching out the aluminum to the steel bolts reduce additional flex between the steering gear box and the frame. That’s a good reminder to check mine as well and make sure they didn’t reuse any bolts
  2. New JL Steering Issue TSB 08-074-20 (for "Improved Steering Feel")

FCA is the overall owner of Jeep is all, that’s where Jeep dealers order their vehicles and parts from vs JeepCares is a program. They too will order parts from Jeep/FCA. That sucks it’s a wait until December... maybe parts are split up by region? I don’t understand how I can get one in 24 hours...

  4. New JL Steering Issue TSB 08-074-20 (for "Improved Steering Feel")

Thank you for bringing this to my attention! I had a couple of rough experiences driving out to Yellowstone going 80-85mph with gusts of wind across the plains, especially hitting of the front of semis, and got blown around quite a bit. I called up the dealer closest to me which had...
  5. Diabolical Slipstream Install and review

As this thread seems to be the place to share installation/general experiences I thought I’d share mine. I installed my Slipstream over the course of 4 days (dislocated my shoulder and had a friend help with 90% of the install one day and slowly added the rest of the bolts myself over 3 days)...
  6. How Can We Help?

Bag has been ordered..thank you for your help and quick reply!
  7. How Can We Help?

Hi Benny - I was directed here from another thread on soft top window storage (for my JLU) to ask for both the code and product link (although I’ve found the link above). If you could please provide the code I will order this up ASAP. Thanks!
  8. Bestop trektop ultra window storage

Hi Lee - can you please confirm that the JL Trektop Ultra windows fit in the bag? The online description leads me to think otherwise. Also, does the rear window bar need to be removed in order to stow in the bag? hoping to order this ASAP after having the Trektop for a couple weeks now!
  9. Trektop Ultra installed.

How well did your part numbers line up? I had quite a few that didn’t match with the instructions and two brackets that needed to be installed “upside down” according to the instructions and stamping on the metal. Guessing I had an older revision of instructions shipped with mine.
  10. Trektop Ultra Order

I was part of their pre order back in mid-March so my wait time could be different than yours, but once they confirmed my order (when tops were ready to ship) and charged the rest the soft top arrived in 3 business days (I’m in MN)
  11. Diabolical Slipstream Install and review

This is good to know! I could end up never putting the top fully down with the other modes available, but I wish I had the option without this much interference. Others have said they'll be shipped an updated lid with cutouts so it can be folded back w/o hitting the soft top mechanism, but...
  12. Diabolical Slipstream Install and review

I didn't know about the price increase?! Hmm that could cause me to purchase earlier (good play, Diabolical). @Last Mango are you still able to lock the soft top down or is it not even close now? And if not, are you securing the top to the tie down rails or is it really not necessary?
  13. Diabolical Slipstream Install and review

Wow that is sticking up really high. Now I'm wondering if that would have an effect on gas mileage with that drag or if it's no different than how it should rest w/o the Slipstream. I was 100% set on picking up the Slipstream when I order the soft top but now I'm having 2nd thoughts...that...
  14. Diabolical Slipstream Install and review

This is definitely a concern I would have! I have 33s currently and I imagine it would look even stranger sitting so high above the spare. I'm very interested in a picture of how it looks with the top down.
  15. No name JLUR build!

Super cool to see where you started and follow your build! I thought this jeep looked familiar from the LiteBrite crew videos  Looking forward to seeing more of your jeep
  16. Recovery Boards/Tracks: Storage bag?

I'll be picking up recovery boards for some winter wheeling up north in snowy Minnesota and they'll be "stored"/left in the Jeep for winters. I'm looking for a bag to store them in after use to help keep my interior somewhat clean (exterior mounting is not an option at this time). I've...
  17. What did you do TO your Jeep JL today?

Hi Mark - 2 quick questions; do you have an LED light bar attached to your lift gate glass or is that the lighting from your garage? I'm almost positive I'll be ordering the Slipstream in the spring (along with a soft top) but I have a light bar installed (light bar) and I'm wondering if it...
  18. Question about doors coming off frequently

I’ve been searching all over this forum and I e only found this reference to the door checks...I’m wondering, have you had to pull out a door check? Both of my front doors’ door checks are currently stuck. I even tried putting the provided torx big through the hole to get a better grip and was...
  19. Bike Rack Options??

Richie - here's my solution that matches all of your criteria; Rubi wheels on my Sahara are cleared with full access to trunk, locks included:
  20. Show me your Nerf steps

To confirm, yes, the Sahara is a running board style and is level with the frame rails: Depending the style of Nerf step you get, I've seen anywhere from 1" to 3" lower of a step. Bummer to hear about the hold up on the Nfab steps but I'm still some weeks away from placing an order.
