Maybe. But for ME it's kind of a who cares and there are way better things to complain about. Still I guess I kind of get it. It's a new rig and one wants what they paid for no matter the reality in the grand scheme of things.
I took mine off becuase it serves no purpose. I also wish they...
Congrats on the purchase of the BEST jeep C7/wrangler of all time.
Yes there are things I dont like either: Full time 4 wheel drive, transfer case not low enough, axles that should be bigger, probably more.
Thinking your fuel mileage will be better then my 3.6, with 37's 4.88 gears. I get...
AZ to Moab twice within a three week period. 8 hour trip towing an 1800lb trailer. 15.5mpg there 13.5 back. Not bad given it's on 37's.
I'm 6' 1" and VERY comfortable and we didnt stop except for gas the whole way.
I plan on a 5 month road trip towing the same trailer so comfort is king...
None. I have boring white since it works so well for me. but I see a lot of REALLY cool colors jeep offers they I wouldnt get for me but they look GREAT.
That is a nice list if true. And sounds pretty efficient to me. lol What are the negatives?
Arent the batteries inside the cab near/under the back seat?
How long do the batteries last before replacement is needed, and how much?
Does the batteries need heating and cooling lines?
I guess I...
Could be. More likely they need people to buy these things to offset the 392's and other less efficient motors.
As impressive as the 4XE sounds it just doesnt appeal to me nearly as much as a 392 or other V8 jeep MIGHT offer.
So selfishly speaking I hope they sell a zillion of these things.
check for yourself but I recall reading that all trailers in euro have to have trailer brakes and other doodads that we just don't have to have in the states. In reading about what we have to have here is different in about every state, same in Canada too. So with these trailer rules possibly...
LOL, so THAT Is why!! The previous week or two there was a bronco safari. Never saw that many old bronco's ever. Still there was a crapload of razors' and only a few jeeps. Now a jeep safari it was likely a whole new situation for sure. ;)
I think guys who wheel their jeeps as intended look at guys sup-ing up their rigs only for show as posers. I get that and shake my head at them as well but dont really care that much. Their rig, their money and selfishly consider it good for OUR sport. PARTS. Less cluttered trails.
When you...
SO... the battery sits inside and under the rear seat? Are the cooling and heating feeds gone from this version vs the hybrid with the batteries under the jeep opposite of the gas tank?
Those power numbers are pretty sweet. But if the batteries are under the seat that is a problem for me and...
You're likely right. But really not much you can do. Used to be you didnt have that many enjoying trails on jeeps and whatever but there was a percentage that were dicks. The dick percent of that small group didnt really amount to much so not a big deal.
Now with the explosion of jeeps...
Yeah weight does add up on jeeps and I was really trying hard to keep it down and think I did a pretty good job. My net gain on my jeep was 150lbs more not counting the bigger tires. I had a lot of takeoffs and used a beefy alum skid plate that was tested big time and passed big time. It...
yeah and IFS typically sucks but the on the razor it works since there is room to put the more efficient components vs a conventional vehicle.
ANd yeah they are pretty loud and annoying, plus since they are so powerful they are fun to go fast in and hard to stop yourself from doing so. I hear...
No doubt many feel as you do. Razors own moab....as least when I was there.
Prior to buying my JL I had a TJ that I never used since getting into dirt bikes. If just sat there and I was considering selling it and maybe getting a razor. One day I did take the TJ with the family and took a...
Moab has something for everyone. We jeeped, hiked, jet boated, razor'd, drove around sight seeing. The town has gotten too busy for me. I was there twice, first time the place was too hectic, but last week wasnt bad.
Camping remote is in designated area's and that was a departure from...
First off traction in Moab is off the charts with only a few exceptions. Think of it as riding on 100-150 grit sand paper. You will be floored at what you can do. So tires there are of little consequence. I would pick what you would use elsewhere and not for a Moab trip.
I run Patagonia's...
The last time I went jeeping there was 2001. I did Poison Spider, Golden Spike and one other. It was a LONG day but what a trail!
Fast forward 20 years and I take my freshly masters graduate son with me in my 2018 JLUR with 37s, 4.88's 4 inch lift, more, with my home made offroad trailer...
Yeah there are a LOT of DUMB people doing dumb things with money. It makes the many with average intelligence look like geniuses. lol
Best move is to moderate spending, and maximize investing so that when your ready to retire you can do a bunch of dumb things with your money and not hurt...
I paid 43 for my jlur and have probably another 20 into it. Anyone buying a jeep and setting it up for them is spending some coin. If you have the coin DO IT if that is what you want and the more the better. We're talking about the best jeep ever produced, so spend it if you got it!!
