  1. Does anybody have any regrets for NOT getting a Diesel?

I'm here to tell you the Ecodiesel with 37's is just fine. No way does it need 4.10's with stock tires. Doesn't even need them with 37's. Sure, they'd be nice to have but I can hold 8th gear at 60-65+ no problem. Not like the 4-pot or 3.6 with 37's, with everyone complaining about getting...
  2. Does anybody have any regrets for NOT getting a Diesel?

I ordered and waited for the diesel. Now that the newness and "cool factor" have worn off, I'd just as soon have the same jeep in a 3.6 and manual. I think it would be a lot more fun to drive. Automatics are boring, but great for crawling. I never crawl, manual would be much better for me...
  3. JL wrangler Unlimited being towed by RV Class-A - Options? Brands?

I use a Mopar Flat Tow harness (dealer installed), Blue Ox Avail tow bar and a RVI Brake braking system. Works awesome with my LOD Off Road winch bumper. My uncle has a Sahara with a Roadmaster setup and it works equally well. I think I may prefer the air-actuated braking system better, but I...
  4. Am I the odd person out for wanting/preferring a soft top?

If I had to choose, it would be a premium soft top. I have both, but don't anticipate putting the hard top back on until it snows.
  5. Diesel Lift Kit?

Originally I had NItto Ridge Grappler 37x12.50r17 and the Jeep wandered a lot. I swapped to 37x12.50r17 KM3's, and wandering was greatly reduced. I don't know. Never drove it stock. I can tell you I hated Ridge Grapplers, wandered all over the place. Replaced with KM3's, a bit louder but...
  6. Diesel Lift Kit?

I got an early diesel, all that was available was the AEV spacer lift. I have it running 37's. Works well for most things I think and rides like stock. Eventually I'll get a real suspension, but for now the spacer kit is fine. For the price I don't think anyone would be disappointed.
  7. DEF Usage

I'm in the same boat. Around 3500 miles and I still have 2/3 tank of DEF. Haven't added any since I took delivery. 50/50 city/highway driving.
  8. Oregon 5 AEV Borah sim deadlocks with 37x12.50-17 Ridge Grapplers 1k miles

Just as the title says, like new. Came on my JL Rubicon, but took off to add custom steelies and KM3's which weren't available when Jeep was built. About 1k miles on tires/wheels, spare has never been used. Load range D, road force balanced, nice and smooth. Galaxy with silver trim rings...
  9. 3.0 MODS - Show em off

Thanks! 37x12.50-17 They only measure about 35.5 though...
  10. BRIGHT WHITE Wrangler JL Club

They're Stockton Wheel series 51. I had them powder coat them prior to shipping. If you order, find your own coater. I've had my diesel for about three months and love it. Spins 37's no problem. Grabs 8th at like 60 on the flats, but you need to be at 70 or so for it to hold on any type...
  11. 3.0 MODS - Show em off

New shoes yesterday... KM3's on 17" x 9" Stockton Wheel Series 51's, 5.75" backspacing. Ran out of time, still have to modify the camera mount to allow the CHMSL wire to reach the relocation mount. Took off AEV Borah's with Nitto Ridge Grappler.
  12. BRIGHT WHITE Wrangler JL Club

Here's mine, Just swapped wheels/tires today from AEV Borah's and Ridge Grapplers. Fenders and rear bumper setup next...
  13. Fender liners

Is that coating spray-in bedliner, or the texture powder coat they have as an option when you order?
  14. Diesel Lift Kit?

Evo kits are on the website now. So tempted to order...
  15. California Diesel vs...

Wow, that's low for CA. The county I lived in last was 9.75%. Chicago Illinois is the worst. Sales tax is over 10%.
  16. Fender liners

    What brand is that? Thx.
  17. California Diesel vs...

Same everywhere. CA ruined diesels for everyone with their emissions regs... That said, I drive diesels. I currently have a 2017 Ram 3500 Cummins and Rubicon Ecodiesel. Previous diesels include a 2003, 2007, 2015 Ram 3500's (two were pre-smog) and a 2009 Jetta TDI. Don't let the naysayers...
  18. If you had to do it all over again, would you buy another Diesel Wrang!er??

Not much of a gap. There is some "ramp" programmed into the throttle as in all modern diesels to reduce soot-loading the DPF, but it's not that noticeable. What I'm referring to is the smoothness of the start/stop system. The E-torque re-start is great! No starter motor. Fast and efficient.
  19. If you had to do it all over again, would you buy another Diesel Wrang!er??

The only thing I wish my Diesel had is E-Torque. My uncle bought a 2020 Sahara the same day I picked up my Rubicon. It has the V-6 E-Torque. The auto stop/start in that vehicle is sooooo good. Also good in the rental Wrangler S I had for a week with a E-Torque 2.0 Turbo. That said, the...
  20. 3.0D What’s your hand calculated DIESEL mileage?

I just did a round trip from Bend to Portland and back, same day. 380 miles round trip. 3.0 Rubicon with AEV spacer lift and 37" Ridge Grapplers on AEV Borah wheels. I'm usually 5-10 over speed limit, so most of the day 65-75 and crossing over a mountain pass twice. 26.5 mpg indicated by...
