  1. What did you NOT KNOW about your Jeep until today?

There’s an idiot light to alert you when you forget to turn of the turn signal (yes I am one). Radio up and mud tires = can’t hear the clicking. Neat feature so you’re not driving for miles on the highway with it on.
  2. Clutch Recall (2/23/23): Clutch Pressure Plate May Overheat -- Affecting 70,000 Manual Jeep Wranglers and Gladiators

While I agree that I’m not sure what a victory in this case will actually mean for the Class, not all of them are bad. I had a brand new engine installed in a Subaru with 130,000 miles on it because of a class action suit for excessive oil consumption (mine burned about a quart every 2k miles...
  3. Clutch Recall (2/23/23): Clutch Pressure Plate May Overheat -- Affecting 70,000 Manual Jeep Wranglers and Gladiators

Hi @JeepCares since there are manuals being delivered today there seems to be a “fix”. Not sure why this seems to be double top secret but can you just answer the basic question of is the “new” clutch that is/will be installed a “newly designed” clutch or just a new clutch of the same type that...
  4. Clutch Recall (2/23/23): Clutch Pressure Plate May Overheat -- Affecting 70,000 Manual Jeep Wranglers and Gladiators

I’m still waiting for one of you crazy folks to take apart their pretty much brand new jeep (without the recall on the VIN) and physically compare the clutch assembly to what’s in the recall Jeeps! Takin one for the team! 😉
  5. Clutch Recall (FCA W12 | 20V-124) on 2018-2020 JL Manuals [overheating clutch pressure plate]

Pretty sure there are folks on this forum driving recently delivered 2023s with 6MT and no recall against the VIN.
  6. Clutch Recall (FCA W12 | 20V-124) on 2018-2020 JL Manuals [overheating clutch pressure plate]

Patiently waiting for one of you super mechanically savvy, super curious owners of a new 2023 6MT (without a recall tied to the vin) to bite the bullet and pull your rigs clutch apart to see what’s in there (verify if its…different). 😉
  7. Clutch Recall (2/23/23): Clutch Pressure Plate May Overheat -- Affecting 70,000 Manual Jeep Wranglers and Gladiators

I’m betting no way it’s the exact same clutch. The NHTSA would never buy off on that for a third recall. Software update with progressive alerts to warn of danger on its own is just a mitigation, not a fix. They are going to have to actually fix it this time.
  8. Clutch Recall (2/23/23): Clutch Pressure Plate May Overheat -- Affecting 70,000 Manual Jeep Wranglers and Gladiators

While I agree this happens MOST times, I did get a brand new engine installed in my 2012 130,000 mile Subaru a few years back due to a class action lawsuit for excessive oil burning! THAT was one of the good ones!
  9. Clutch Recall (2/23/23): Clutch Pressure Plate May Overheat -- Affecting 70,000 Manual Jeep Wranglers and Gladiators

I’m betting (hoping!) they are out of the design stage and into the testing and verification stage. They knew this was a problem looonngg before the letters came out. Risk reduction process would have been to design the possible fix (new clutch) ahead of time. If it’s stiLL in the design phase...
  10. Wrangler 392 Nearly Flips at Moab EJS 2023

Not a rock crawler here. Can do that kinda stuff with a MT6 installed? Yikes.
  11. What was your first warranty claim?

This WILL BE my first. Haven’t brought it in yet.
  12. Clutch Recall (2/23/23): Clutch Pressure Plate May Overheat -- Affecting 70,000 Manual Jeep Wranglers and Gladiators

Anybody else keep getting this error when you try To sign up for “get notified when parts become available”?
  13. At What Level of Savings Would You Do Without a Fold Down Windshield?

But then you’d have dental bills to replace your teeth 🦷 from the rocks hitting them. 😉
  14. Clutch Recall (2/23/23): Clutch Pressure Plate May Overheat -- Affecting 70,000 Manual Jeep Wranglers and Gladiators

I knew about the clutch issues when I ordered my 2021. I love driving my manual but since this 3rd recall came out gotta admit I’m kinda nervous when someone else in the family takes the Jeep now.
