  1. Jeeps parking next to Jeeps... post yours!

Was parked by myself at Meijer.....When I came out.....Even a car hauler full!
  2. Half doors appears in system! "Dual Door Group With Base / Premium Uppers" [Updated with real life photos]

I wonder if they will have the same “bubbles around door hinge“ feature the full doors have. Personally wouldn’t waste my money on half doors from factory - unless good old steel and not aluminum.
  3. Knock in rear with Dana 44

So this begs the question for those of us that had differential replaced in May with old part what to do? I guess its good they gave me extended warranty! So far about 2500 miles on rebuild with no noises..........yet........
  4. Steering issues cured by installing new Steering gear box! (per TSB 08-074-20)

Don't know if I had total computer reset or just steering update. Don't have a Tazer and never reset axle ratio or tire size - anyone know how to get this level of detail out of the system? Dealer paperwork doesn't reveal other than "software update"
  5. Thrumming Noise at Highway Speeds (63-67ish)

Mine had the noise prior to getting the axle completely rebuild due to worn-out clutches in the LSD. Does it just the same after the axle rebuild. My GMC pickup also had the same sort of issue. I chalk it up to vehicle harmonics.
  6. Steering issues cured by installing new Steering gear box! (per TSB 08-074-20)

That's mine. I was showing what proper bolt length looked like.
  7. Steering issues cured by installing new Steering gear box! (per TSB 08-074-20)

It looks like they re-used your forward bolts! I would seriously question that when the new ones come in a 4 pack and they are supposed to replace them. The mounting boss is much thinner on the iron gear and they don't need to be that long. All 4 bolts on mine are the same length.
  8. Steering issues cured by installing new Steering gear box! (per TSB 08-074-20)

I don't feel the steering is any heavier - I believe no-change. Feels same effort-wise but is definitely more precise, there is very little if any play in the system now. No compliance, wind-up, or disconnected feel between steering wheel input and road wheel response. It does not take away...
  9. Bubbles in Paint at Door Hinges

THIS is exactly WHY I haven't had mine fixed yet!!! This is an INCREDIBLY bad job!! I feel for you. Good luck, hopefully the remedy this and paint the entire Jeep.
  10. Steering Fix TSB 08-074-20 Crowdsourced Dealership Survey. Add Your Experience.

I have driven several hundred miles on the TSB this week and I must say it is a significant improvement in steering and mine wasn't that bad to begin with. It did wander/was vague on-center, and didn't give much feedback to driver. Completely different now and fun to drive again. FCA hit the...
  11. What did you do TO your Jeep JL today?

I used real high quality VHT epoxy and didn't hold up very well, ended up chipping off. Prepped it well, wiped down with Lacquer thinner, scotch-brite. Swapped it for a stubby which in my area works almost as good.
  12. Loose steering feels like it has play and drifts

Just got mine back from the TSB and all I can say is WOW! This is how it should have been at Job 1 From factory. Mine wasn’t even that bad to begin with. If you are on the fence get it done. Whole different driving experience.
  13. Steering Fix TSB 08-074-20 Crowdsourced Dealership Survey. Add Your Experience.

Baumann Fremont rocks! No questions asked, re-centered steering, filled fluid did everything as I would have myself. It’s too bad all dealers aren’t like this. Drives like a whole different Jeep.

  17. Bubbles in Paint at Door Hinges

Hate to say it, but probably r&r to kick can down the road until it gets out of warranty coverage, and then it's the owners problem (and cost). Not confident there will be a permanent fix for us. Now my tailgate hinges showing the issue, worse than the doors. Waiting to take it in probably...

I can attest to fact the cover works great!!
  19. New JL Steering Issue TSB 08-074-20 (for "Improved Steering Feel")

Was going to wait on this, but with all the positive reviews contacted dealer with TSB number - they haven't seen any of these yet. Parts on order and going to call to schedule appointment when they come in.
  20. What did you do TO your Jeep JL today?

Mopar Performance rock rails off of '19 MOAB. Screaming deal on these takeoffs - $240. Like them WAY better than the plastic running boards the Sahara came with.
