So this begs the question for those of us that had differential replaced in May with old part what to do? I guess its good they gave me extended warranty! So far about 2500 miles on rebuild with no noises..........yet........
Don't know if I had total computer reset or just steering update. Don't have a Tazer and never reset axle ratio or tire size - anyone know how to get this level of detail out of the system? Dealer paperwork doesn't reveal other than "software update"
Mine had the noise prior to getting the axle completely rebuild due to worn-out clutches in the LSD. Does it just the same after the axle rebuild. My GMC pickup also had the same sort of issue. I chalk it up to vehicle harmonics.
It looks like they re-used your forward bolts! I would seriously question that when the new ones come in a 4 pack and they are supposed to replace them. The mounting boss is much thinner on the iron gear and they don't need to be that long. All 4 bolts on mine are the same length.
I don't feel the steering is any heavier - I believe no-change. Feels same effort-wise but is definitely more precise, there is very little if any play in the system now. No compliance, wind-up, or disconnected feel between steering wheel input and road wheel response.
It does not take away...
I have driven several hundred miles on the TSB this week and I must say it is a significant improvement in steering and mine wasn't that bad to begin with. It did wander/was vague on-center, and didn't give much feedback to driver. Completely different now and fun to drive again. FCA hit the...
I used real high quality VHT epoxy and didn't hold up very well, ended up chipping off. Prepped it well, wiped down with Lacquer thinner, scotch-brite. Swapped it for a stubby which in my area works almost as good.
Just got mine back from the TSB and all I can say is WOW! This is how it should have been at Job 1 From factory. Mine wasn’t even that bad to begin with. If you are on the fence get it done. Whole different driving experience.

Hate to say it, but probably r&r to kick can down the road until it gets out of warranty coverage, and then it's the owners problem (and cost). Not confident there will be a permanent fix for us.
Now my tailgate hinges showing the issue, worse than the doors. Waiting to take it in probably...
Was going to wait on this, but with all the positive reviews contacted dealer with TSB number - they haven't seen any of these yet. Parts on order and going to call to schedule appointment when they come in.
