  1. Aluminum Bumpers Recommendations?

Thinking about getting the MP Concepts aluminum bumper. Looks like the factory Mopar bumper but aluminum instead of steel.
  2. Gas type in Jeep

This is all IMO, but here goes. If saving money right now is all that matters to you, the manual states the engine is designed to use 87, so use 87 and go about your life. However... there is a reason that turbocharged engines typically require premium. You paid at least $30k+, maybe up to $60k+...
  3. Everyone hates me......

I'm in metro Atlanta. Get lots of waves but not every one. From me, every Wrangler and Gladiator get a wave. Classic Jeeps like XJs and SJs get waves (respect your elders). The other stuff like Grand Cherokees and the mini Fiat Jeeps get a wave if something about the ride makes me think the...
  4. Leather or Cloth Seats

I'm thinking about doing the PRP vinyl seat covers in either dark beige or brown. I have two herding breeds with multi-layered coats and dog hair gets all over everything. It's always a battle between heat during the summer time and easier cleaning without having to scrub and I think the easier...
  5. WuHu Flu mask hanger

I use disposable ones and put them in a bag hanging from the passenger grab handle. Here's the bag if interested: I have cancer (multiple myeloma) so I was wearing masks before they became...
  6. Instrument Cluster Swap

I'd like to do this, but I think I'm going to wait a bit longer to see if an aftermarket all digital cluster gets released like what is available for the JK. Dealing with the odometer seems like a pain, and I definitely don't want any flags coming up in a carfax on my VIN or anything.
  7. Alternative to Removing Euro Bumper Cover Pieces

I tried doing this method but it just wasn't working for me... the box cutter kept slipping and I was worried I was going to cut or scratch something I didn't want to. I wound up just taking them off the long way and leaving them off since they were such a PITA to get off. Why did Jeep have to...
  8. Bestop Soft Door Pics

If it isn't too much trouble, next time you get a chance can you take a pic of them folded up in your trunk so we can get an idea of how much space they take up back there while bringing them along?
  9. Wheel & Tire Advice

Probably not if I lower it 2 inches. ;)
  10. Wheel & Tire Advice

I have a 2dr Sarge Green with the same wheels as you. I'm thinking Quadratec retro CJ style wheels in white with 265/70/R17 Falken Wildpeaks. Here it is as it sits currently:
  11. DUN DUN DUUUN!!! 2021 2 DR JL Rubicon - comparison and thoughts vs 2019 JL Sport S

In addition to the extra power I picked up 2mpg switching from 87 to 93. YMMV but it was totally worth it for me. If you have a Sam's club or Costco with a gas station near you, it might not even cost you enough extra to worry about at all.
  12. Upgrading from 5” unconnect 3 to 8.4” uconnect 4

I went from the 5" to the 8.4" I bought from a forum member here. I also bought a sat/nav antenna since I did not have Sirius on my 5". It was an easy swap and install. It was fully loaded with all kinds of options I do not have like dual zone climate control, heated seats, and auto mirrors, but...
  13. DUN DUN DUUUN!!! 2021 2 DR JL Rubicon - comparison and thoughts vs 2019 JL Sport S

A cold air intake and/or exhaust might help with the whirring noise. Of course if you're really sensitive they can bring their own problems as well.
  14. Blind spot monitoring retrofit install

Ahh, I get it. So it can't see something that doesn't have a speed differential from your car.
  15. Auto start/stop rant

I'm in Atlanta and I can't wait until I'm just minutes from the beach.
  16. LED Light option; worth it?

I think it's inevitable that a future mid model revision of the JL will have LEDs all around standard. Perhaps after the Bronco hits the market. Unfortunately I'm also pretty sure the MSRP will go up accordingly to accommodate it.
  17. Anyone Replace Door Wire Connectors Yet?

Seems like there is an aftermarket opportunity here for a better designed connector. Could be as simple as two pieces, one to plug into each side of the factory connector so that you don't have to replace the entire factory harness. Could be made both easier to plug and unplug and more...
  18. Auto start/stop rant

I hated every car with start stop until I got our Wrangler. The Wrangler's implementation is actually really good IMO. It's very subtle and doesn't bother me at all in regular use. The ONE thing I don't like about it is the "turn off then restart when moved into park" thing. When you stop and it...
  19. LED Light option; worth it?

If you're building get them. If you're buying off the lot don't sweat it because there are plenty of great aftermarket options too.
