  1. I used to love winter....

You got that right. Spent most of a career working construction in Michigan, mostly outdoors. I truly enjoy the winters here after retiring to the northern lower. Snow wheeling is a blast and no worries about washing the under carriage like ya would after a mud run. The deeper the better. One...
  2. Looks Like Ford Bronco is Serious About Taking on the Wrangler

2020 Wrangler JPP.................... Is the JPP or Mojave more to your liking? Or both.
  3. Start of 3.0 Production

Well I have put purchasing a Wrangler diesel on hold until I see a Bronco for comparison. I thought it but won't say it, someone else might though.
  4. Start of 3.0 Production

Hey @Kornpop that will be a good looking rig right off the line. Big fan here of the low key look of the Altitude model and have had more red vehicles in life over all other colors. Congrats on your order and wishing you the best as a Jeep owner.
  5. Looks Like Ford Bronco is Serious About Taking on the Wrangler

Yeah, there is a lot of that going on. Don't know what anyone else will do in their decision process but I put the purchase of a new ecodiesel model on hold until seeing what the Bronco will be. Having one Wrangler here already, and like it just fine, there is no hurry. It is good to have choices.
  6. Looks Like Ford Bronco is Serious About Taking on the Wrangler

This rendering is one that I do not look forward to. The darn door surround looks too much like a fisher price design.
  7. Start of 3.0 Production

This has to be the hottest thread going in the online Wrangler world. Good luck to all of you still waiting.
  8. Wave Snob

Yeah the "wave". I understand that folks enjoy camaraderie in any type of social group. These are my individual thoughts and do not imply that anyone else would agree, although someone might. My driving history goes back five decades and includes on-road, off-road with two and four wheeled...
  9. Start of 3.0 Production

Excellent pounce ya made there, @Gonzanc, no hesitation at all. Congrats, GCM is my second choice also just behind Sting Gray.
  10. Start of 3.0 Production

"All the Mississippi dealers said they would be losing 2253.00 if they sold it me at the price I got." What I see is this: These dealers will be losing 2253.00 of profit. It is a dealers perogative to run their business as they choose and I am all for someone in business making profit. On the...
  11. Wrangler Variety

Willys models in the past were outfitted with a gloss black bumper that matched the gloss black grill. Will be interesting to see the features listed in that package. After going through the configurator, I see it begins very bare bones. No AC, crank windows and few optional choices.
  12. Lockers - Rear only vs both

I can only speak for 2 door jeeps, have yet to own or drive an unlimited. I try to avoid mud, high priority due to the proper cleaning required after. During snow and soft sand wheeling I lock both most all the time. Snow wheeling defined as not touching the dirt, deep snow. On the summer trail...
  13. Official announcement for 2020 Jeep Wrangler North Edition

Some buyers are driving North Editions now and there are many on dealer lots. The official announcement is a bit late to the party.
  14. JL Rubicon Recon Now Online

At the Jeep website Build & Price your Wrangler, the Recon is listed. Also available in a two door, unlike the North Edition which is just available as a four door. Link to builder...
  15. First real world diesel rubicon mpg test

Yeah that is impressive. A 4 door Jeep Wrangler on 33's getting over 30 mpg, wow. I have zero knowledge of the Nissan truck but in my book over 20 mpg in a V8 pickup is acceptable.
  16. Sahara North Edition

There are details of the North Edition (and other editions too) located within the January 2020 build guide at the following link: https://www.jlwranglerforums.com/forum/attachments/4-door-1-2-20-pdf.268620/
  17. Sahara North Edition

Selec-Trac is included in the package. The package is worth well over the listed package price, if added as individual options to another model. Below snips from a window sticker:
  18. Sahara North Edition

Noticed today that the North Edition is on the "Build Your Wrangler" choices. Appears to be available with the 2.0 powertrain only. This edition and the Rubicon Recon are 2.0 powered. The Sky One Touch is just a $1900 option.
  19. I got a lemon JL?

If the OP is on the up and up, the description of the vehicle issues do not fit the term lemon. And as others have stated, it could be just one issue with peripheral fallout. Best of luck in getting the problem diagnosed and repaired. In the OPs shoes, i would be a bit peeved also. Fingers...
  20. Rubicon for Mostly Highway Road Trip Travel?

Maybe think about a Sahara with the new diesel powertrain. With the diesel option it is equipped with Dana 44s front and rear geared at 3.73. The rear comes with limited slip. Thinking about 28-30 mpg on the highway makes a full tank of fuel good for close to 500 miles. If by chance it gets...
