Wait up…Jeep got rid of the “unlimited” name for 4 door wranglers at the end of 2022?? Can anyone with a 2023 or 2024 4 door confirm there’s no “unlimited” sticker on the side of your wrangler?
Unfortunately not. I bought them used from someone, but never ended up installing them. I installed Rubicon suspension on my Sahara which eliminated the factory rake so I ended up not needing the spacer lift.
@BigSkyKatie Hi there! This is a long response, but you asked and I’m answering.
I have a 2021 Sahara 4xe and I was one of the early adopters having taken delivery in early May 2021. I have had zero issues with my 4xe aside from my backup guidelines disappearing (which is an issue for every JL...
My jeep is a 4xe which has a pressurized fuel tank. There’s a button inside the cabin to open the fuel door. When you press that button, the jeep will depressurize the fuel tank and the fuel door won’t open until the depressurization is complete (only takes a few seconds). The rubber stopper is...
I did this. It’s not pretty, but I had an extra hook with double sided tape in my spare hardware box and it works so…. 🤷‍♂️
I realize the inner part of the gas cap looks like it’s touching the fender, but it is not. I’ll take a better pic later.
2021 Sahara 4xe has the door with FUEL on the...
The 4xe battery is never depleted fully. Even a battery showing <1%, there’s still 15% charge in the background being used like how a prius would be using it (constantly depleting and charging). So the battery is never completely “dead weight”, although the majority of the wrangler community...
I wasn’t saying Jeep should add that big of a battery to the Wrangler, I only mentioned the 33.7 kWh to explain the math since it didn’t sound like you understood what MPGe was. Agreed that the Recon is likely the result of Jeep wanting to offer a true EV, but still retain the image of something...

I think the most common misconception is that the battery is never just “dead weight”, there’s always ~15% charge stored in it even if the battery gauge shows <1%. The 4xe is a hybrid vehicle, first and foremost and it will always try to prioritize battery usage over gas. The different...
It would preferably be at a battery swap “gas station” if you will. Like you pull up, a tech comes out and does the battery swap for you, and then you’re on your way. Or somehow automate it, apparently everything is AI controlled now…
For me, the 4xe works perfectly. I go camping regularly and always take my jeep. Even with the regular road trips to our camping destination, I’d much rather have the 4xe over another drivetrain choice since the majority of my driving will still be in the city where the electric mode can shine...
