The auxiliary battery is an aux 14. I used Super Start batteries from O'Reilly's and have had zero issues. I have used their batteries for years. If one fails, you can return it to the store for warranty. The ir batteries are made by East Penn/Deka. NAPA's better batteries are made by the same...
As a recently retired police officer from a major city, I will say that there is a major difference between a public safety association that has the right to collectively bargain is different than a labor union with broad membership in many shops that are in competition with each other.
Public...
Unions and the companies that have their members for labor live and die by those contracts. Without the unions, the company has to have more management. With the unions, a certain amount of that is taken over, pay and benefits are well defined and staffing minimums set.
There are pluses and...
I'm not anti union. I worked under collective bargaining contracts for 26 years. Having that experience, I have an informed opinion. The UAW leader is handling this poorly.
Disruption for the sake of disruption is not a good thing. Innovation that causes a form of disruption is different. The...
If you're going to be welding outdoors, like in your driveway or an open garage, then stick. MIG requires a closed environment so the gas doesnāt blow away. You can use flux core wire, but then you might as well use stick.
My machine does both MIG and stick very well. Lincoln 210 MP.
The internet is a wondrous place that allows us to research and shop for the best parts, from highly reputable sources, at the best prices. If someone simply wants the cheapest part possible, then they get what they pay for. A lesson thatās taught over and over again over the years.
I think now...
I get it. Some prefer dealer maintenance and I wont knock anyone for that. Bit some things are easier to handle on your own. OEM parts are available though other outlets. Better than OEM parts are available for many applications. Many ASE certified independent shops offer better service and...
Why would anyone go to the dealer to buy oil, filters or just about anything? Everything needed is available online, at at parts stores, or big box stores.
Even for minor repairs the dealer should be avoided, even if you are still under warranty. The time it takes to have a vehicle diagnosed...
Do yourselves a favor and get a quality squeegee scrubber and keep it at home. I use scalding hot water from the utility sink with 2-3 drops of Dawn on it. That will remove even the most baked on bugs with no need to visit the car wash.
Using a micro fiber with hot water and a few drops of Dawn...
I started using it in 1986 on an old ā70 GMC pickup that then wiper motor went out on. I never did replace that wiper motor and drove it for 2 more years that way.
I use the original concentrated Rain X that comes in the small bottle. I apply it to all external glass about twice a year.
I usually double coat the windshield, and will apply it more frequently if needed.
Rain X or a ceramic coating helps quite a bit. Even regular wax of you apply it regularly. Iāve even used Nu Finish before with good results. Wont keep bugs from hitting, but makes clean up far easier.
Just put a 5 gallon bucker mouse trap on each side when youāre there. And get rid of that cozy little battery cover.

If you prefer high tech, then this is it
Some people just want to die on the hill they planted their flag on.
When the argument turns emotional or to taking a perceived moral high ground versus objectively examining and discussing the root problems, then the argument is lost. Unless a jury is involved, then thereās always hope.
There is one other thing you can try. Take your Jeep to a shop that trues tires for big rigs. They will have a machine that will shave the high spots off the tires. I've heard it works very well. You will lose some tread depth, but the tires will wear better in the long run, so it evens out.
