  1. Hemi 6.4L 475hp swaps - where is the data?

    Swap the V6 for a V6? Maybe if it's a GTR engine.
  2. Hemi 6.4L 475hp swaps - where is the data?

I did say a 6.4 will have better dyno numbers.
  3. Hemi 6.4L 475hp swaps - where is the data?

Not saying there's no benefit to putting on a 6.4 but if you're after everyday performance, they can't beat a supercharged 3.6 because of the power to weight ratio. The 6.4 swap will have better dyno numbers but it'll also be close to 450 lbs (200 kgs) heavier which affects acceleration, corner...
  4. 2020 JL EcoDiesel Dyno Run

Which is precisely the reason why absolute numbers from dynos shouldn't be taken too seriously. What ever is being compared for hp/torque has to be dynoed on the same dyno at nearly the same time and it has to be done a few times because there's also heat soak.
  5. 2020 JLU EcoDiesel test drive review: Diesel gets a chance to redeem itself (Automobile)

Do we have Aaron Gold's credentials before we take his word? Does he do anything more than writing and taking photos?
  6. Mopar Auxiliary Switch Bank! Installation help!

The switches go in the same place. There's someone here who ordered theirs from overseas and got it done I think. Search for their thread. Good luck!
  7. Ripp Supercharger for 2018 3.6L JL Wrangler

Not true. Even with limited boost, you can tell the difference in the way boost comes in between a positive displacement (e.g twin screw), centrifugal (ripp) and a turbo. In an aftermarket twin screw setup it's violent (in a good way) right off idle and you feel it because the torque management...
  8. Ripp Supercharger for 2018 3.6L JL Wrangler

Must have used a smaller pully... now with a bigger pully, the centrifugal superchugger must be a dream to drive (note the sarcasm)
  9. Ripp Supercharger for 2018 3.6L JL Wrangler

Clearly you have mixed roots with turbo? Lag? By definition roots-style doesn't have lag. By definition they have more low end power. By definition they're better for crawling because they don't need to spool up like a centrifugal supercharger or a turbo. If you have a manual they don't need you...
  10. Mojave Wrangler Reportedly On The Way

Or half doors or a V8 option... maybe they only give things people never asked for.
  11. Best Bolt-On Air Intake for JL 3.6L?

If the magnaflow is "dead quiet", would you say stock muffler "has been dead longer"?
  12. Jeep invites you to the first ever Jeep Brand digital livestream roundtable

They didn't even know that wiring harnesses burn if they touch the hot catalytic converters.
  13. Jeep invites you to the first ever Jeep Brand digital livestream roundtable

Wouldn't it be much easier to put a new grille or a body/face kit on a RAM, Ford or a Chevy full sized truck? There's no alternative to a Wrangler so that's the concern.
  14. Quake LED Switch System QUIC798 Lighting/ 12v Accessory Controller...The Ultimate Headache Saver!

Hi Quake LED, Thanks for the reply. Does this mean there's a 1/10 chance or 1/10000 or better? And if interference does occur consistently for some reason, can we adjust the channel?
  15. Jeep invites you to the first ever Jeep Brand digital livestream roundtable

Even in these times, it sounded like it was a complete waste of time. No half doors it is then. I wish someone sued them for launching a vehicle by showing them to people and then for going all quiet. There has to be a law against that. Also, while I'm ranting, I don't care for the damn...
  16. Jeep invites you to the first ever Jeep Brand digital livestream roundtable

Land Rovers (before they became "Defenders"?) had them which is probably where Mahindra got it? But a battery powered PTO? Isn't that just an electric motor?
  17. Quake LED Switch System QUIC798 Lighting/ 12v Accessory Controller...The Ultimate Headache Saver!

Looks good but have a question... If someone else nearby has the same unit, what are the chances of their remote getting picked up by my vehicle? Like is there a set number of frequency channels (assuming it's radio)? How secure is it in this sense because I can imagine quite a bit of trouble...
